Transformers producer Tom DeSanto is set to produce the reality TV show Declassified. According to Variety, the show will be a military-themed docudrama. The show will revolve around the members of a U.S. special operations force. While the war in Iraq will be one focus, the series will also explore foiled terrorist plots in other parts of the world. DeSanto said about the series, “It’s like a real-life 24 . We want to use big re-creations and high-tech graphics, along with first-hand accounts, to get the drama across....

Superhero fans are probably wondering what the status of the legal issues surrounding Watchmen is, what with both Warner Brothers and Fox fighting over legal rights to the film. The latest update, according to Variety is that a Los Angeles federal judge has moved the trial date to January 20, 2009. Judge Gary Allen Feess set the trial date due to his previous commitment to a criminal matter. Feess also refused to make a pre-trial summary judgment on the case....

UPDATE: 10/15/10 8:30 AM PST A new Entertainment Weekly story reveals that Tom Cruise won’t be involved in a Top Gun sequel. While Paramount wouldn’t even confirm that a sequel is in the works, the site did manage to confirm that Christopher McQuarrie has been approached to write the script, according to a rep for the writer. We’ll be sure to keep you posted with any updates on this proposed sequel as soon as we have more information....

Just four months after issuing a Veep renewal for Season 7, HBO has confirmed that the seventh season will be the last. The series, which stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as former Vice President and President of the United States, Selina Meyer, will wrap up its run with 10 Season 7 episodes, although no exact premiere date has been given at this time. Here’s what HBO programming president Casey Bloys had to say in a statement about the series coming to a close....

In the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead, fans were finally introduced to the iconic villain Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who killed one member of Rick’s group, although we didn’t find out who it was until the Season 7 premiere. It was revealed in that episode that Negan actually killed two members of Rick’s crew, Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun). That episode also brought the series up to the 100th issue in the comics, and while there is essentially no way that the show can catch up with the comics, it will reach another milestone in the next few years....

The CW Network has set its fall premiere schedule, launching its fifth broadcast season with 10 hours of original programming of returning favorites and two new series. Box Office Mojo is reporting that the premiere date of Seth Rogen’s The Green Hornet has been pushed 5 months to December 17, 2010 from its original date of July 7, 2010. HitFix.com spoke with Seth Rogen who said that he and his creative partners Evan Goldberg and director Michel Gondry are “relieved and psyched about the change. It gives more time for post, which would have been immensely rushed if we were to come out in the summer....

Warner Premiere announced today that Dark Castle Home Entertainment has begun production in Sofia, Bulgaria on the horror film The Hills Run Red. Featuring rising stars Sophie Monk and Tad Hilgenbrinck alongside veteran actor William Sadler and up-and-comers Alex Wyndham and Janet Montgomery, the film is being directed by Dave Parker and is written by David J.
