The director behind the Emmy award-winning Chernobyl, Johan Renck, is now on board to direct the pilot for HBO’s adaptation of the popular post-apocalyptic video game The Last of Us. Renck will be teaming up once again with Chernobyl writer Craig Mazin who in turn will be working alongside the writer and creative director of the game, Neil Druckmann, to bring The Last of Us to live-action life. Carolyn Strauss will also executive produce along with Renck, Druckmann and Evan Wells, the president of Naughty Dog, the developer of the video game....

The Mandalorian season 3 has finally wrapped filming, clearing the way for a sooner than expected return of Grogu and Din Djarin. When forced to hide out at a farmhouse, a dungeon is found with traces of sadistic violence, forcing the hostage to do everything they can to escape the fate of her kidnappers. The Price We Pay is directed by Ryuhei Kitamura (The Midnight Meat Train) and available on VOD on January 10 ahead of its January 13 limited theatrical release....

Tim Allen returns as Scott Calvin back in action as everyone’s favorite Santa Clause. The Santa Clauses turned out to be much better than expected that avoids another Disney legacy sequel curse. The series contains some genuinely funny moments and a perfect amount of nostalgia. It’s clearly a respectable and worthwhile entertainment just in time for the holiday season. Allen is simply brilliant along with the rest of the cast, while the cinematography and special effects are excellent....
