The long gestating Thomas the Tank Engine live-action adventure will be directed by 9’s Shane Acker, with WETA Digital behind the effects. The story will be set in the land of Sodor, an island inhabited by talking trains. The movie is based on the popular preschool toy line, but in bringing Thomas’ adventures to life, Shane Acker hopes to broaden the appeal of this juggernaut franchise, and bring in children of all ages with a timeless story and classic characters....
After Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will next present a more straightforward story with the next Phase Four film. As it stands, the multiverse has been very well established as a part of the MCU, and we can certainly count on that coming into play in various movies and Disney+ shows in the future. As for Thor: Love and Thunder, however, those elements will not be included as the multiverse just was not necessary for this story....

We have a new trailer for Unsolved Mysteries volume 2. The show is still technically in its first season, with Netflix opting to split it up into two batches of six episodes each. The second, six-episode installment is coming our way just in time for the Halloween season and we now have our first good look at what is coming down the pipeline. Characters from Netflix’s Daredevil series are starting to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and this includes the long-awaited arrival of Kingpin. Played by Vincent D’Onofrio in the Netflix series, the actor reprised the role for Hawkeye, officially bringing Wilson Fisk into the MCU. What’s next for the character at this point is unclear, but we’ll likely see Kingpin again soon enough. While the crossover with the Marvel shows on Netflix is officially happening, there has been some uncertainty about whether the two universes are truly connected....

It has become a tradition for AMC’s annual Walking Dead Comic-Con panel to reveal the season premiere date, but this year, the cable network decided to kick things off a bit early. AMC today released special Comic Con art for The Walking Dead, which also reveals October 22nd as the season 8 premiere, which coincides with the series’ 100th episode. Aside from the Hall H panel on Friday, July 21 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM, AMC will also be present at MLK Park with a fan activation for fans of both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead....

Sony held a test screening for their upcoming 3D superhero adaptation The Green Hornet on Tuesday night, and the early buzz was so positive that Sony execs are now seriously considering a sequel, two months before the movie arrives in theaters on January 14. The Los Angeles Times had spies at the screening, where Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal was overheard discussing a possible sequel after seeing the test screening results come in....
