Pan Am star Mike Vogel has signed on for the lead role of Barbie in the CBS summer series Under the Dome. The show is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, which is set in the sleepy town of Chester Mill, Maine. Without warning, the town is sealed off from the rest of the world by a massive dome, causing the townsfolk to abandon all social norms and fend for themselves in a post-apocalyptic setting....

You can bring home one of basic cable’s most popular shows this past summer just in time for the second season. Warehouse 13: Season 1 will be released on DVD on June 29. We don’t have any pricing details or cover art as of yet, but this DVD set will contain all 12 episodes of this first season and you can take a look at the special features below. Never mind the summer heatwave, it’s going to be a record-setting summer of different proportions when Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) heats up Comic-Con International: San Diego with 21 fan-favorite series. The world’s leading comics and pop-culture convention will be dominated by WBTVG, with 13 returning shows and eight new series making their much-anticipated Comic-Con debut. With just a few hours left until Star Trek Discovery debuts on CBS, the network has released a new video revealing the opening credit sequence. CBS has also revealed another video that reveals the titles for the first four Star Trek Discovery episodes, which could reveal new plot points for the series as a whole. If that’s not enough, CBS All Access has also announced After Trek, a live companion after show that will debut tonight on CBS All Access after the premiere episode airs on CBS....

Watchmen is easily one of (if not the most) influential graphic novels of all time, and has been adapted into various mediums throughout the years. Most recently, HBO created a spin-off miniseries in 2019 starring Regina King set in the same universe as the comic. The Watchmen series, much like the graphic novel it’s based off of, tackles social and political themes and offers commentary on the nature of government, racism, and morality....

Avatar: The Way of Water, the sequel to the first Avatar film, is finally set to premiere on December 16, 2022, after 13 long years of waiting. The movie was initially scheduled to release in 2014 but was repeatedly pushed back, stoking the impatience of fans. The first Avatar movie, released in 2009, was a hit among viewers, with many referring to it as phenomenal. The success of Avatar was largely credited to the brilliance of director James Cameron who outdid himself in several aspects such as graphics and CGI at the time....

Many people love coming-of-age films; they show us the struggles and tribulations of transitioning from adolescence into adulthood and the typical coming-of-age angst. We have all at some point struggled to navigate our way through this busy world full of high expectations. We like that we can easily relate to these movies, and find comfort in knowing that we’re not the only ones who have felt this way. We might also find comfort in these movies because they allow us to acknowledge our past and our childhood, and in some way, they relieve a bit of stress by channeling our inner child again....

The CW Network announced its inaugural 2006-2007 season premiere schedule. The new fifth broadcast network, targeting young adults 18-34, will roll-out its premiere season schedule over the course of a two-week period. Launching with an explosive two-hour premiere, The CW kicks off with its biggest hit, Tyra Banks’ AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL on Wednesday, September 20 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET). Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) discovers his incredible powers for the first time in a new trailer for The CW’s upcoming spin-off The Flash. After being introduced in two episodes of Arrow last season, Barry brings his super speed back to his hometown of Central City, with the latest footage showing Barry trying to control his powers, along with the help of S.T.A.R. Labs’ Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker)....

Yesterday we reported on some new details about David Fincher’s new film project and today a release date has been set for the film. eRc Box Office is reporting that The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has been given a December 12, 2011 release date. Fincher will be directing from a script by Steven Zaillian, which is based off the Stieg Larsson book of the same name. The film will be an Americanized version of the Niels Arden Oplev Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which was released stateside on March 19....

The Kingsman franchise is made up of three live action films (so far): Kingsman: The Secret Service; Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and, most recently, the prequel The King’s Man. According to Screen Rant, an upcoming fourth film (a sequel to The Golden Circle) is currently in the works, titled Kingsman: The Blue Blood, and will begin filming next year. The entire franchise has so far been hugely successful at the box office, and we can’t wait to see what happens next....

Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights to the Ray Bradbury short story collection The Martian Chronicles. John Davis will produce the adaptation, although a screenwriter hasn’t been chosen to adapt the stories quite yet. Ray Bradbury’s series debuted in the 1940s and centered on a group of humans who were trying to colonize Mars. There were three separate stories told within the collection: the Martians trying to fight off the humans, the colonization of Mars, and the nuclear war that resulted in their efforts....

Actor Jeff Daniel Phillips has found a fun way to ring in Independence Day this year. Just ahead of the 4th of July, Phillips, who stars as Herman Munster in Rob Zombie’s new take on The Munsters, posted a video to social media channeling another iconic character he’s played in years past. Back in character as one of the “Cavemen” from classic Geico commercials, Phillips delivers addresses Zombie to send will wishes for both his upcoming tour and the release of The Munsters later this year....

The Office stars John Krasinski and Steve Carell recently reunited to take a trip down memory lane by revisiting the comedy series, and it’s a must-see video for fans of the show. Filming has now begun on The Old Guard 2, the upcoming sequel to one of Netflix’s biggest action movie hits. Director Victoria Mahoney took to social media to share the exciting news, revealing an image from the set of the follow-up alongside the simple caption, “Day1: #TheOldGuard2 / #TheOldGuard XV.” Based on the graphic novel by writer Greg Rucka, The Old Guard was released on Netflix in 2020 and follows a group of mercenaries led by Charlize Theron....

Earlier today, Marvel and Netflix confirmed three new cast members for their highly-anticipated spin-off The Punisher, which we learned earlier this week has already started filming. Today we have even more photos from the set, which confirm that Daredevil star Deborah Ann Woll will reprise her role as Karen Page. The actress was seen conversing with Frank Castle on a park bench in these new photos. The first set photos that emerged this week only showed Jon Bernthal by himself on the New York set as Frank Castle....
