TNT has renewed its hit fantasy-adventure The Librarians. One of the hottest new shows on cable, The Librarians burst onto the scene with a chart-topping launch in December and went on to finish the year as basic cable’s #2 new series of 2014, second only to TNT’s The Last Ship. The show’s success extends across TNT’s multiple platforms, with each week’s episode reaching an average of 11.4 million viewers through linear telecasts, DVR playback and VOD, digital and mobile viewing....

Captain Marvel actor Brie Larson fulfilled a lifelong dream at Disneyland Paris’ Avengers Campus: getting her own Disneyland theme park ride. As the Marvel Multiverse expands onscreen, the same expansion is happening at fan experiences located at the Disney theme parks worldwide, with the most recent addition being a second Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris. Excitingly, the Avengers Campus in Paris includes an Iron Man-themed high-speed indoor roller coaster, Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, featuring a team-up between Tony Stark and Carol Danvers (with original footage of Larson as Captain Marvel shot for the ride)....

One of the newest horror movies to round out 2022 was The Menu. The Menu is a horror-comedy that centers around a couple that travel to a secluded island, which features an extremely fancy restaurant. It features an impressive ensemble cast; Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, and many more. It’s an impressive balance between characters, since there are so many. Throughout the dinner, things start to take an intense turn, as the true intentions of the chef come to light....

IGN has revealed the debut trailer for Moon, director Duncan Jones’s philosophical Sci-Fi thriller for Sony Pictures. Check out the trailer and brand new one-sheet below. Opening in theaters June 12th, the film stars Sam Rockwell, Kaya Scodelario, Benedict Wong, Matt Berry, Malcolm Stewart and Dominique McElligott. The film revolves around Sam Bell, who is nearing the end of his contract with Lunar. He’s been a faithful employee for 3 long years....

Principal photography began Friday, March 26, in New York on Columbia Pictures’/Sony Pictures Animation’s hybrid live-action and animated family comedy, The Smurfs, it was announced today by Bob Osher, president of Sony Pictures Digital Productions, Hannah Minghella, president of Sony Pictures Animation and Doug Belgrad, president of Columbia Pictures. Audiences everywhere are in for a Smurfy good time as The Smurfs make their first 3D trip to the big screen. When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours - in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park....

In a blog post from ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic himself, the musical parodist and film director explained that his upcoming live-action telefilm, The Untitled Weird Al Yankovic Project, which was being produced exclusively for The Cartoon Network, has been canceled. It seems that the network is no longer interested in creating original live-action content for its audiences, instead sticking to the animated fare that it’s built its name on. But Yankovic isn’t giving up on the project, which he recently finished the 4th screenplay draft on....

The Walking Dead dives deep into the Whisperers backstory. “Omega” is mostly a flashback episode about Lydia (Cassady McClincy) and her terrifying mother, Alpha (Samantha Morton). Daryl (Norman Reedus) uses Henry (Matt Lintz) as bait. Magna (Nadia Hilker) and Yumiko’s (Eleanor Matsuura) group is accepted at the Hilltop, but fail to follow orders. Common sense doesn’t prevail as characters continue to bumble about in the dangerous woods. Omega opens up at day 23 of the apocalypse in a Baltimore shelter....

The series The World According to Jeff Goldblum started streaming on Disney+’s very first day: November 12, 2019. On January 17, 2020, Variety reported that the show was renewed for a second season, which would be made up of ten episodes. And recently, a release date for Season 2 was announced by The Walt Disney Company. Once again, fans can watch the series on November 12, also known as Disney+ Day (via Laughing Place)....

Universal Pictures has picked up Moby Dick, and plans to reimagine the Herman Melville whale tale with Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) attached to direct. According to Variety, Adam Cooper and Bill Collage will script the screenplay. The writers revere Melville’s original text, but their graphic novel-style version will change the structure. Gone is the first-person narration by the young seaman Ishmael, who observes how Ahab’s obsession with killing the great white whale overwhelms his good judgment as captain....

Marvel fans clearly can not get enough Spider-Man as a new movement has been launched on social media for Sony to finally develop Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4. At one point in time, Raimi was planning to make the fourth movie with Tobey Maguire returning as Peter Parker. The sequel was shelved before production could begin, leading to the eventual reboots with Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. For better or for worse, it seemed like Spider-Man 4 would never be made, especially as each new Spider-Man movie was released....

The Undone team has brought some wonderful news to the South by Southwest Film Festival and Conferences (SXSW). First-look footage was debuted for an Undone panel which also included the announcement of season 2’s release date, which is April 29, 2022. The footage has been uploaded to YouTube by Prime Video in three separate clips which you’ll be able to watch below. From acclaimed creators Kate Purdy and Raphael Bob-Waksberg (BoJack Horseman), Undone is described as a half-hour, genre-bending animated dramedy that explores the elastic nature of reality through its central character, Alma (Rosa Salazar), a 28-year-old living in San Antonio, Texas alongside her mother Camila (Constance Marie) and sister Becca (Angelique Cabral)....

Production is currently under way on Season 7 of The Walking Dead, with a report from yesterday revealing that filming has started on the third episode. One of the show’s stars, Norman Reedus, has been making the press rounds for his new AMC series Ride with Norman Reedus, a six-part series docudrama that debuts on Sunday, June 12. The actor previously teased that this season will make the “world explode,” now he’s offering even more details about what sounds like a truly astounding season opener....
