Warner Bros. has provided us with the first poster for their upcoming horror film, Trick ‘r Treat. Bryan Singer is producing the movie and is directed by Michael Dougherty (Superman Returns, X2: X-Men United). The film stars Brian Cox, Anna Paquin, Dylan Baker, Leslie Bibb and features four interwoven stories that take place on Halloween with such characters as a staid high school principal who is a Halloween serial killer, a college-age virgin seeking that special guy, a woman who hates dressing up for Halloween and whose husband is obsession with the holiday and a group of young teens who pull a cruel prank....

Kat Dennings and Randall Park are officially returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige made the announcement during the D23 Expo today in Anaheim, California. Dennings is returning as Darcy, while Park is coming back as Jimmy Woo for the WandaVision series. The announcement made the crowd go crazy as many have been wondering about the return of Dennings ever since it was revealed that Natalie Portman is returning for Thor: Love and Thunder....

Universal Pictures has revealed the trailer from writer/director Nancy Meyers’ upcoming romantic comedy, It’s Complicated, starring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, John Krasinski, Zoe Kazan, Lake Bell, Hunter Parrish, Pat Finn and Rita Wilson. Opening in theaters on Christmas Day, the film centers on Jane (Streep), who is the mother of three grown kids, and owns a thriving Santa Barbara bakery/restaurant and has-after a decade of divorce-an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, attorney Jake (Baldwin)....

On Tuesday, former Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s star Tim Norman takes the stand just days after the mother of murdered victim Andre Montgomery testified. Also present in the courtroom was Norman’s mother and Montgomery’s grandmother, Robbie Montgomery, who created the Sweetie Pie’s restaurant franchise. Norman is accused of being behind a murder-for-hire scheme to kill his nephew and is charged with conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire and murder-for-hire. He is also charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, with court documents showing Norman took out a life insurance policy on Montgomery for $450,000 two years before the shooting....

Daytime television star Wendy Williams is coming under fire once again for remarks made on her show, this time tastelessly joking about the murder of Drew Carey’s ex-fiancee Amie Harwick. On Saturday, Harwick was found dead on the ground outside of her home, having apparently fallen to her death from a third-story balcony. Investigating officers allege an ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, is responsible for the crime, and the man has since been arrested and booked on murder charges....

On February 9th, a trailer for the new adaptation of Stephen King’s 1980 novel Firestarter was released. The upcoming Blumhouse film is directed by Keith Thomas, written by Scott Teems, and will star Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Charlie, with Zac Efron attached to appear as Charlie’s father, Andy McGee. This will be the second big-screen adaptation of Firestarter, following the 1984 version, directed by Mark L. Lester and starred Drew Barrymore as Charlie McGee and David Keith as Andrew McGee....

Stieg Larsson took the world by storm with his Millennium trilogy featuring three novels called The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest. These novels were rapidly adapted for the big screen in Larsson’s native Sweden starring Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth Salander. In 2011, David Fincher took it upon himself to recreate the film for an American audience.
