Following the departure of Melissa McBride from the Carol/Daryl The Walking Dead spinoff series, it looks like there have been a few more changes made to the show as Angela Kang will no longer be acting as showrunner as expected. Instead, David Zabel, best known as the showrunner on the medical drama ER, will be taking over the new series, which is now currently going simply by the name of Daryl in reference to Norman Reedus’ character....

The world television premiere of the trailer for Walt Disney Pictures’ upcoming animated adventure The Wild will escape onto Starz screens this January 9. Starz Entertainment Group (SEG) partners once again with Walt Disney Pictures to bring the 1:40 teaser trailer to their flagship channel. The Wild is an irreverent comedy that follows the after-hours life of an eclectic group of animals at the New York Zoo. The impressive vocal ensemble includes Kiefer Sutherland (as the respected lion leader), Greg Cipes (as Samson’s rebellious son, Ryan), Jim Belushi (as Benny, the street smart squirrel and Samson’s best friend), Janeane Garofalo (as a pampered giraffe), Richard Kind (as a dim-witted anaconda), William Shatner (as a wicked wildebeest), and Eddie Izzard (as Nigel, an acerbic koala)....

Thor has had quite the journey in the MCU. A tragic hero by every measure, the God of Thunder has lost everything he holds dear, but nonetheless perseveres. Much of Thor’s story development and growth is due to Chris Hemsworth collaborating with Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi. The last time Tim Roth was seen on screen as Emil Blonsky the actor was appearing in The Incredible Hulk alongside Edward Norton in the titular role. Having made a brief return in the guise of the Abomination in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Roth is now about to play an integral part in the upcoming She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and that means he is appearing alongside Norton’s Hulk replacement in the MCU, Mark Ruffalo, for the first time....

A new action-comedy Christmas movie is officially in the works. Violent Night, from Norwegian director Tommy Wirkola, is set to hit theaters this holiday season. 87North Productions, the company behind last year’s Bob Odenkirk-led thriller Nobody, is on board to produce, while Universal Pictures is set to distribute. Director Wirkola is best known for blending action and comedy with horror in his native Norway. His films include Kill Buljo, a Kill Bill parody, and the Dead Snow series, where students face off against re-animated World War II Nazi zombies....

Warner Bros. has released a new application for Apple iOS users dubbed The Day After US, where fans can download and stream episodes of WB TV shows the day after they air. Users will be treated to the first episode of each series for free, although if you want to explore episodes from previous seasons, it will cost you $2.99 a pop. Fans can also purchase a season pass for $24....

HBO debuted their weekly news show Last Week Tonight with John Oliver last night, hosted by The Daily Show correspondent and Community star John Oliver. Westworld has wasted absolutely no time in getting very strange, possibly confusing and perhaps fantastic in its second season. That all depends on what you want from the show, but it at the very least has is hooks in enough for viewers to want its various mysterious solved, even if they may become increasingly hard to follow. While we can’t predict that, what we know for sure is that the latest episode Reunion delivered on the promise of its name while further complicating the show’s timeline, among other things....

And so, with only weeks left until the show debuts on Disney+, the company higher-ups have decided to grace all Star Wars fans with a brand-new trailer for the upcoming and highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi. Having been dropped so close to the show’s debut, the new trailer does a fantastic job of intriguing fans. It keeps us interested but doesn’t reveal too much. In the time until it does debut, however, anything from a new Star Wars project is always worth looking over, and the few pieces of information that the trailer did reveal are worthy of discussion....

The CW has put into development a planned prequel series dubbed Walker: Independence with a teleplay by showrunner Anna Fricke and writer Seamus Fahey. Padalecki is attached as an executive producer, and though The CW hasn’t yet officially ordered the prequel to the series, he’s teasing fans will love what they have in mind for the story....

Torontonians beware! The Incredible Hulk is coming. The city has been chosen as a principal filming location for the upcoming Marvel Studios production of The Incredible Hulk. The Incredible Hulk is to be directed by Louis Leterrier (Will begin shooting this summer for about four months. 1 & 2, Unleashed). The film’s executive producer Jim Van Wyck (Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, Armageddon), shot in the city two years ago on the action flick 16 Blocks and said he found the Toronto film community to be “exceptional,” lauding the co-operation from the city and the province....
