The Weinstein Company announced that they have acquired worldwide distribution rights to the heartfelt drama Grace is Gone starring John Cusack, Alessandro Nivola, Shelan O’Keefe and Gracie Bednarczyk, which made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival. James C. Strouse wrote the screenplay and makes his directorial debut with Grace is Gone. The film was produced by Cusack’s New Crime Productions and Plum Pictures. Fans aren’t letting Netflix recast Geralt of Rivia without a fight. Recently, it was announced that The Witcher had been renewed ahead of its upcoming third season, but with season 4 comes a catch. Henry Cavill is exiting the series after season 3 Liam Hemsworth set to take over the role of Geralt starting with season 4. While Hemsworth might be a fine actor, the news of the recasting was met with immense backlash from fans who just aren’t willing to accept anyone other than Cavill in the role....

The narrative suffers from generic action tropes; but gets a pass for its brutal characters and willingness to defy convention....

Original series star Anna Paquin knows just as much about the reported True Blood reboot in the works at HBO as the rest of us. This week, Variety reported that Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa was tapped to executive produce and serve as showrunner for a new True Blood series. Original series creator Alan Ball was also reported to be involved as a producer. Mill Creek Entertainment has announced the next group of releases from the Ultraman superhero library recently licensed from Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd for North American home entertainment distribution. Ultraman Orb and Ultraman Geed will be making their North American debut as Blu-ray combo packs that include the complete series and subsequent feature films that concluded each respective storyline for $39.98 each on November 19, 2019. The 1967 series Ultraseven will also be making its Blu-ray debut in limited edition SteelBook® packaging for $49....

Now playing in theaters, the new Uncharted movie is directly based on the popular video game series of the same name. In anticipation of the worldwide release of the epic action adventure 300, Warner Bros. Pictures launched an immersive 3-D exposition within the fast-growing online community known as Second Life. A live Q&A with the film’s director, Zack Snyder, award-winning graphic novelist Frank Miller, and the film’s stars Gerard Butler, Lena Headey and Rodrigo Santoro, kicked off the month-long 3-D exposition on Friday, March 16, 2007.
