A trio of production companies are teaming for The Fabulous Moulin Rouge, which tells the story of the first desegregated hotel and casino in Las Vegas, according to Variety. Milosz Feigin has completed the script for the drama that will focus on a fictional African-American character who rises from mob debt collector to manager of the Moulin Rouge. The film will shoot in Dubai, and while casino gambling isn’t permitted there, producers Dubai-based Exwaze, Hollywood-based Hughes Capital Entertainment and Garden Grown Entertainment plan to erect a replica of the casino that sprang up in 1955 and closed six months later under mysterious circumstances just as it was gaining momentum and attracting singers such as Sammy Davis Jr....

The return of Unsolved Mysteries is just around the corner, as Netflix has set July 1 as the premiere date for the series revival. Last year, it was announced that Netflix has acquired the rights to Unsolved Mysteries, bringing back the legendary true crime series by delving into some bizarre new cases. The first season will consist of 12 episodes, and Netflix will premiere the first six episodes at the start of next month with the back half of the season to follow at some point in the future....

Eric Roth, Executive Director of the Visual Effects Society (VES), announced today the results of the VES 50: The Most Influential Visual Effects Films of All Time, which was determined by a vote of VES members.
