The long-gestating DC movie, The Flash, is still on course to be released next year, and editor Paul Machliss has now explained why the comic book movie blockbuster will be “worth the wait.” speaking with IBC, Machliss teased the technology that has been used to bring The Flash and its exploration of DC multiversal madness to life on the big screen. The Flash had better be worth the wait, with the movie having been in development since as far back as the late 1980s....

In 2009, the CBS political drama show The Good Wife became one of the highest-rated TV series of the time (per Rotten Tomatoes). It was created and produced by husband and wife writers Michelle and Robert King, who also worked together on series such as In Justice, BrainDead, and Evil, among others. Julianna Margulies stars as Alicia Florrick, wife of the Cook County State’s Attorney, whose life falls apart after a sex and political corruption scandal involving her husband becomes public....

The odds were always ever in Lionsgate’s favor that The Hunger Games would hit big at the box office, and fans came out in droves to midnight screenings last night, to the tune of $19.7 million. Lionsgate rolled out The Hunger Games in over 2,500 theaters for midnight screenings, and the $19.7 million take is the best ever midnight gross for a non-sequel, and the seventh best of all time. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 holds the midnight record with a whopping $43....

A live-action remake of The Little Mermaid hits theaters next year, and director Rob Marshall is weighing in some more on the movie’s controversial casting. Introducing Halle Bailey as a new incarnation of Ariel, many fans were sold on her casting after seeing a teaser trailer showcasing Bailey singing, “Part of Your World.” But there have also been complaints on social media about the change in Ariel’s ethnicity, and some have suggested that the filmmakers had an “agenda” by race-swapping the fictional mermaid....

The highly-anticipated third season of The Mandalorian is set to return in March, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see what’s in store for the series’ main character, Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, and Grogu (Baby Yoda). Fox has released a new trailer for their midseason comedy series The Mick, while announcing that the show will have its series premiere on Sunday, January 1 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), following the NFL doubleheader on Fox. The series will then make its time period premiere with an all-new episode Tuesday, Jan. 3 (8:31-9:01 PM ET/PT). Beginning January 3, New Girl moves to its new Tuesday night time period (8:00-8:31 PM ET/PT)....

Disney has developed a reputation for family-friendly entertainment and many of their animated films are enjoyable for both kids and adults alike. However, not everything about Disney movies is squeaky clean. Everybody knows how traumatic it was to see Bambi’s mom get shot or to see Mufasa trampled to death by those wildebeests, and those were the good characters! The villains in Disney movies tend to get it even worse. Quite a few simply fall to their deaths, like Gaston in Beauty and the Beast (pause at the right moment, and you’ll see skulls in his eyes as he falls to death) or the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs....

Earlier this month, we showed you new set photos from the Marvel Netflix spinoff The Punisher, which confirmed that Daredevil star Deborah Ann Woll is returning as Karen Page. The photos showed the actress chatting with Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) on a park bench, but today we have photos that shows Frank has a much different look, sporting a shaved head along with a full beard. We don’t know what spawned this sudden change in Frank Castle’s appearance, but we’ll find out when the show debuts next year on the Netflix streaming service....

To judge by the packaging of Rogue Pictures’ 2006 horror film The Return, one might think that a truly terrifying ghost story was lurking within. With a tagline that reads “The past never dies, it kills”, cover art of pale ghosties with emaciated arms reaching out like some two-bit Black Metal band’s promo photo and a synopsis that states the film is a “shocking, non-stop, supernatural thriller unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before”, why would you think otherwise?...

Starz announced today that the Lionsgate and Liberty Global-produced STARZ Original Series The Rook will premiere Sunday, June 30th, 2019 at 8PM ET/PT on STARZ in the U.S. and Canada, and then on the STARZPLAY platform in Germany and Spain. In addition to the premiere date announcement, Starz also released The Rook key art featuring Emma Greenwell (The Path, Shameless), who stars as ‘Myfanwy Thomas.’ The tagline, “Awaken the Power Within,” teases Myfanwy’s quest to uncover her expunged past and the mysterious journey that lies ahead for her this season....

It appears that one part of The Watchmen graphic novel can be seen after all. According to New York Times, a separate, straight-to-DVD animated release entitled The Tale of the Black Freighter, will be released on DVD right after The Watchmen’s theatrical debut on March 6, 2009, with the DVD to most likely be released on March 10, 2009. The DVD will also include the documentary “Under the Hood” which takes a look a the back-stories of these characters....

We have good news and bad news for fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead today. The good news is that the network has renewed the popular zombie series for Season 4. The bad news is that showrunner Glen Mazzara will leave the series after finishing work on Season 3. Here is a joint statement released by AMC and Glen Mazzara. AMC announced today that the cast and crew of The Walking Dead return to Atlanta, Georgia on Monday, May 6th to begin production on Season 4. AMC also confirms Scott M. Gimple as showrunner and executive producer for the series’ fourth season to premiere in October with 16 episodes. Gimple has been on the show’s writing staff since Season 2. Co-Executive Producer, Emmy Award-winning Special Effects Makeup Supervisor and Director Greg Nicotero and Producer Tom Luse have also been elevated to executive producers....

AMC released a new preview for the return of The Walking Dead Season 4, premiering Sunday, February 9 at 9 PM ET. When we last left these survivors in The Walking Dead mid-season finale, they all went their separate ways following the massive assault on their prison, which they called home for a season and a half. Andrew Lincoln explains how terrifying it is to be back on the road again, and that the last half of this season will provide a different kind of horror than fans are used to....

Robin Williams was the type of performer that only comes around once in a lifetime. Not only was he a brilliant stand-up comedian, he was also a very gifted actor. He was able to completely embody his characters, while being entertaining every moment that he was on-screen. Moreover, not only was he a gifted comedic actor, he was also able to dominate his dramatic roles as well. We saw in One Hour Photo, that Williams was even capable of playing a sadistic villain....
