Famous character actress Conchata Ferrell has a long road of recovery ahead of her following a heart attack and subsequent move to a long-term healthcare facility. Best known for co-starring as Berta the sarcastic housekeeper on the hit comedy series Two and a Half Men, Ferrell is currently enduring the “biggest fight of her life,” this according to her husband, Arnie. Presently, she was transferred to the facility following a four-week stint in the ICU....

Universal Pictures has released their slate of 2009 fall/holiday movie releases including Love Happens, Couples Retreat, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, The Fourth Kind, and It’s Complicated. Love Happens - September 18th Love Happens is a romantic drama about a widower (Eckhart) whose book about coping with loss turns him into a best-selling self-help guru. On a business trip to Seattle, he falls for a woman (Aniston) who attends one of his seminars, only to learn that he hasn’t yet truly confronted his wife’s passing....

Principal photography is underway on the thriller Unknown White Male under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan). The film stars Liam Neeson (Schindler’s List, upcoming Clash of the Titans), Diane Kruger (Inglorious Basterds), January Jones (TV’s Mad Men), Aidan Quinn (TV’s The Book of Daniel), Bruno Ganz (The Reader) and Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon). The film is being produced by Joel Silver, under his Dark Castle Entertainment banner; Leonard Goldberg; and Dark Castle’s Andrew Rona....

It seems that one of TV’s longstanding cop partners will be no more. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vincent D’Onofrio will be leaving Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Kathryn Erbe, who portrayed D’Onofrio’s cop partner, and Eric Bogosian, who portrayed their police captain, will also be leaving the series. It wasn’t exactly clear why the trio were leaving the series, but it was understood that D’Onfrio would be leaving sometime during the series’ upcoming ninth season, where he would hand over the top detective duties to Jeff Goldblum’s character....

Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine made big headlines last month, when Ryan Reynolds revealed that the actor would be joining the MCU in Deadpool 3, despite having seemingly retired from the role following his character’s death in Logan. However there is another star hoping to join Reynolds and director Shawn Levy in the movie, and that is The Adam Project’s Walker Scobell. Deadpool 3 director Levy recently revealed how the youngster is attempting to add to his current roster of roles, which includes playing the lead in the upcoming Percy Jackson series, and reunite with Reynolds on his MCU debut....

What We Do in the Shadows is one of the true cult classics of our day. The brilliant horror/comedy released in 2014 beautifully takes a look at pop culture’s neverending obsession with vampires and shines a bright, silly light on the whole thing. Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) have thankfully been talked into revisiting this universe as a TV series. This time, they’ve brought the action to America and it looks like this is going to be a real treat for those who love the movie, and for an entirely new, wider audience....

If there was any more evidence needed to show that The Dark Knight is the biggest superhero film ever made, it has now been provided. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Apple reports that The Dark Knight is the best-selling movie download of 2008 on iTunes - which is especially notable since the film isn’t available for purchase yet. It seems like fans have pre-ordering the film for purchase and rental at such a rate that it has surpassed Disney’s WALL-E as the year’s top download....

Netflix, the world’s leading internet entertainment network, today announced The Eddy, a new Netflix original series from Academy Award-winning director Damien Chazelle. The eight-episode series comes from IMG and will premiere exclusively to Netflix members around the world. This new series comes on the heels of Damien Chazelle’s Oscar-nominated musical La La Land which won the filmmaker Best Director and was nominated for Best Picture. One of director Terrence Malick’s recent films is getting a new version on DVD in October. The New World is coming to DVD in an Extended Cut editionn on October 13. We don’t have any cover art for this release, but it will be priced at $19.97 SRP and will contain more than 30 minutes of new and unseen footage. Glee was immensely popular during its time on Fox, accounting for over 120 episodes during its six-season run. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has always envisioned Henry Cavill’s Superman in a Black Adam movie, the actor has revealed. The action star took to Twitter to comment on a comic book page shared by a fan, which shows the Man of Steel shaking hands with Black Adam, with The Rock replying, “I like it. Sorta how I always envisioned it. Except the handshake at the end. Never. Wrong guy.” So, should the two super-powered beings come face-to-face on the big screen, don’t expect it to be quite so cordial....

Everyone’s favorite family is back for the 31st season of the longest running scripted primetime show in television history, The Simpsons. Summit Entertainment announced today that the studio’s newest chapter in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, has grossed $508 million in global box office in only 12 days since the film’s release on November 18, 2011. There are certain big TV events that advertisers really want to be involved in. The Walking Dead’s finale was prime time for ads to grab a huge audience, and one particular set gave TWD fans a little treat for sitting through the break in the finale’s action. While the show had some surprises left to deliver, fans hadn’t expected to see dead characters, Andrea, Milton, Rodney, and Gareth returning. These long-dead characters had one more Walking Dead appearance thanks to a series of Autodesk, Deloitte, DoorDash, MTNT, and Ring advertisements....

Last night, AMC’s mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead became the strongest telecast for any drama in basic cable history against key demos including 5.4 million adults 18-49 and 4.4 million adults 25-54. These results shatter the previous record, which was held by the season two premiere from October 16th with increases of +12% and +6% respectively. The show delivered 8.1 million viewers for its 9 PM premiere and delivered 10....
