Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea Season One Vol 1 Dvd Review

The Good Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea is dated in the best way. The Bad I would have really liked to see an in-depth interview with Irwin Allen talking about his shows, his life and his other work. Irwin Allen’s Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Vol. 1 is a nail biter of a TV on DVD release if ever there was one. Fans of such movies as The Hunt for Red October and Crimson Tide will certainly enjoy seeing the Seaview in action....

Waiting For Forever Review

I wasn’t sure what to expect from “Waiting For Forever,” but I have to say that this romantic and touching film pleasantly surprised me. It reminded me a bit of “Garden State,” but with less emphasis on the humor and being hip for the sake of being hip. While the film is a romantic comedy, of sorts, its also a very dramatic film and takes a look at death as well as love....

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Watchmen, the seminal DC Comics limited series created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, has found a home at Warner Bros. Pictures. The project has landed at the studio with original producers Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin – but not with screenwriter David Hayter and director Paul Greengrass, who were with the project when it was let go from Paramount in June. The development of the movie has turned out to be almost as epic as the story the comic tells....

What We Hope To See From A Live Action Dead Space Movie

An ongoing rumor that John Carpenter would be involved in a Dead Space movie has, unfortunately, fizzled out. Straight from the man himself, Carpenter said in an interview with Variety that he is currently not involved with any such production, though he does love the accompanying games. In that very same interview, he suggested that “they already have another director involved,” meaning that a possible Dead Space movie may currently be in development....

Why Red State Might Be Kevin Smith S Best Film

Kevin Smith is an independent filmmaker. He follows no mold except for the one he creates. Audiences and critics have pegged him and his films as comedic, stoner, and outcast fare. A good director knows better than to become predictable. At the Wizard World Chicago 2006 convention, Smith announced that his next project, Red State, would be a serious, straight-laced horror film. His focus turned to the church and state, both with their collective debate and strife....

The New Gods Director Ava Duvernay Thanks Co Writer After Warner Bros Cancels Dc Epic

The Square Review

What would you do for love? Would you kill? That’s the essential question that is asked in the new Australian film, “The Square,” and the film’s answer may shock you. This is a brilliant film that uses the device of film noir but places it in a modern day, suburban, domestic setting. The acting and story telling is excellent while the direction is stripped down and tasteful. Writer and co-star Joel Edgerton is best known for his role as Owen Lars, stepbrother to Anakin and future uncle to Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones” and “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith....
