It looks like Daryl Dixon will be riding alone when he gets his own Walking Dead spinoff series. Ahead of the eleventh and final season premiere of The Walking Dead, it was announced that Norman Reedus would return as Daryl in a new series alongside Melissa McBride’s Carol Peletier. The show was to be one of several spinoffs that will keep the franchise going after the main series ends. Per TVLine, the Daryl and Carol series has suffered a significant setback, resulting in the loss of one of its leads....

The West Wing was a TV show about work, like many others about hospitals or cops, with the biggest difference being that it happened to be in The White House. With Aaron Sorkin at the top of his game, Tommy Schlamme’s direction (they created the walk-and-talk kind of scenes), and an incredible cast, the show talked about America, democracy, and idealism. The scripts and performances were celebrated and won many awards, as the cast was one of the best in history: Rob Lowe, Bradley Whitford, Allison Janney, John Spencer (RIP), Richard Schiff, Janel Maloney, Dulé Hill, and, as the President, Martin Sheen....

Peacock has just released a new trailer for their upcoming original slasher They/Them. As seen in the trailer below, They/Them revolves around a group of LGBTQ+ youth who attend Camp Whistler, a conversion camp that will lead them to gain “a new sense of freedom.” As if the creepy camp director (played by Kevin Bacon) and exploring “traditional gender roles” wasn’t scary enough for the camp-goers, they also have to contend with a killer’s presence on campus....

Last week, we reported that the long-running CBS series Criminal Minds has fired its star Thomas Gibson, who had been with the show for all 11 seasons it’s been on the air. The dismissal came after a violent on-set confrontation where the actor reportedly kicked a writer-producer identified by several outlets as Virgil Williams. Today we have word that the dismissed actor may be gearing up to file a lawsuit against his former employer over the firing, while one of his former co-stars, Shemar Moore, speaks out about the firing....

Michael De Luca is teaming with Alison Rosenzweig and Michael Gaeta to remake the 1987 Mickey Rourke supernatural thriller Angel Heart. According to Variety, producers optioned remake rights from a private U.K. firm, which owns the rights to the original film, which was produced by Carolco and distributed by TriStar. De Luca, Rosenzweig and Gaeta also optioned the underlying book rights to William Hjortsberg’s novel “Falling Angel,” from which original film was adapted....

Pulp Fiction star Tim Roth has joined the ensemble cast of Canadian heist adventure film Stealing McCloud. Roth will play a character named Marc McCloud, inspired by the real-life software mogul John McAfee, the founder of McAfee Corp. computer security software company. John McAfee was arrested in Spain in 2020 over U.S. tax evasion charges and subsequently incarcerated. In June 2021, McAfee was found dead in his prison cell in an apparent suicide shortly after his extradition to the U....

It seems that Russian director Timur Bekmambetov is adding an English-language remake of a Russian film he produced. Variety is reporting that Bekmambetov is in talks to direct a remake of Black Lightning. The film, which was released in Russia at the end of last year, was produced by Bekmambetov, who is now in negotiations with Universal to direct an English-language version. Universal co-produced the Russian version of the film as well....

Deadline Hollywood has released the new release slate for Universal Pictures for 2010 and 2011, some of which indicates changes from previously-announced releases. The studio has moved The Adjustment Bureau, which stars Matt Damon, from a summertime release of July 30 to a September 17 release date. The studio has also moved the Zac Efron film Charlie St. Cloud from its October 15 release to fill in the July 30 release slot....

Update: The family of Leave It To Beaver star Tony Dow told media outlets that the actor has not died as it has been reported earlier, but is in his last hours and under hospice care. Dow, who played big brother Wally to Jerry Mather’s Theodore “Beaver” Cleaver in the 1950s sitcom Leave It To Beaver is battling cancer. There are just three episodes left of Better Call Saul, and while both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are confirmed to return as Breaking Bad characters Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, the two have not yet appeared in the prequel series. All throughout Better Call Saul, various personalities from the Breaking Bad universe would show up for special appearances.
