Robert Patrick has been confirmed as a new guest star on HBO’s True Blood later on in Season 5. The actor will appear in Episode 5.09: Everybody Wants to Rule the World, playing Jackson Herveaux, the father of Joe Manganiello’s Alcide. We first meet Jackson during a flashback scene from the 1980s when Alcide and his girlfriend, Debbie Pelt, were teenagers. It is said that Jackson was, “powerful, inspiring, and heroic” back in the 80s, but now he has given up on life....

Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston’s latest romcom, Wanderlust, initially has promise but falls flat rather quickly. The pair play down-on-their luck New York yuppies forced to relocate to Atlanta, where Rudd’s obnoxious brother (Ken Marino) will let them stay rent free. Their trip takes a turn for the goofy when they end up staying a night at the Elysium, a backwoods hippie commune. At first the pair can’t wait to leave, but after getting a dose of the alternative, decide to live at the commune and give free love a chance....

Later this month, audiences will see the first movie filmed entirely in Virtual Reality. Every scene within We Met in Virtual Reality will be from the VR perspective, using the popular software VR Chat. The HBO documentary will follow several communities within the VR world and their challenges through the COVID-19 Pandemic. The movie is shot in real-time, in true documentary style, revealing the growing nature of virtual worlds and how we connect to each other during a time when most people were in isolation....

Apple TV+ unveiled the teaser trailer for WeCrashed, a highly anticipated new limited series based on the hit Wondery podcast ‘WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork’’ from Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello. Starring Academy Award and SAG Award winners Jared Leto as Adam Neumann, Anne Hathaway as Rebekah Neumann, the limited series also features Kyle Marvin, alongside America Ferrera and O-T Fagbenle. The series is inspired by actual events and the love story at its center....

Bill Condon’s latest series for HBO has picked up three new cast members. According to Deadline, Wes Bentley, David Harbour, and Leland Orser have all boarded the comedy pilot Tilda, which is loosely based on Deadline’s own Nikki Finke. Tilda stars Diane Keaton as Tilda Watski, a powerful female on-line reporter with an eye on Hollywood and a no-holds-barred style that sits uneasy within the industry. Bentley is set to play Watski’s young, sexy new IT guy whom she has an affair with....

HBO has released a mysterious new teaser for Westworld season 3. Instead of the familiar faces we have seen in the previous two season, we’re introduced to a new shady tech company. It’s more of a commercial for this new company Incite. What does Incite do? Well, it seems they do just about everything and are here to take care of whatever problems we may have in our lives, including climate change and finding jobs....

Disney has unveiled detailed character descriptions and brand new high-resolution images for its upcoming The Muppets, which comes to theaters November 23rd. As a huge fan of ’70s punk rock, ’80s new wave and rock n’ roll in general, not to mention Joan Jett and her seminal all-girls rock band, The Runaways, I was very skeptical when I heard that the girls from “New Moon” would be portraying Joan Jett and Cherie Currie in the new film, “The Runaways,” based on the band. However, I’m here to tell you that much to my surprise both Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, respectively, nail their roles in this film and the result is a completely well realized, well-crafted, hardcore rock n’ roll film....

Will Poulter, Johnny Flynn, and Naomi Ackie are just some of the names associated with the heist-romance The Score. The film premiered at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival on Monday, November 22. The Score is a fresh take on the whole heist genre, amalgamating elements from musical drama and romance. Written and directed by Malachi Smyth (Light of the World, Sentinel), the film follows a minimalistic short fiction format, with the majority of the action taking place in or around a particular setting....

When it comes to The Sopranos, there were few people satisfied by the cut-to-black finale of the mafia based HBO drama, but it seems that it wasn’t just the show’s sign-off that brought displeasure as actress Lorraine Bracco recently revealed that she was not happy with her own final scenes in the series.
