Drive creator Tim Minear and Emmy winner Todd Holland have teamed for Miracle Man, a drama project that sparked a bidding war between ABC and Fox and landed at ABC with a put pilot commitment, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Miracle Man – from 20th Century Fox TV, where Minear and Holland are based with overall deals – centers on a disgraced former televangelist, a man of no faith, who finds that God is using him to perform real miracles and change lives, starting with his own....

Principal photography is scheduled to begin in late Spring/early Summer on the biopic Tupac, it was announced today James G. Robinson, Co-Chairman/CEO, and Rick Nicita, Co-Chairman/COO, of Morgan Creek Productions. Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Brooklyn’s Finest), the film will be shot on location in Los Angeles, New York, Georgia and Las Vegas and is currently being cast. It’s official, Scarecrow is heading to Titans. In the upcoming third season of the HBO Max series, Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men) will play Jonathan Crane, the demented doctor also known as the supervillain Scarecrow. As he is typically portrayed in DC stories, Titans’ Dr. Crane is an inmate at Arkham Asylum who’s known for terrorizing Gotham City with a fear-inducing toxin. News of Kartheiser’s casting follows previous announcements of other characters coming into the show’s third season....

Since its premiere in 2019, Vinland Saga, based on Makoto Yukimura’s manga of the same name, has been a phenomenal anime. The series won the best anime of the year award at the 6th Anime Trending Awards, and it has long been a fan favorite, with an impressive MyAnimeList score of 8.73. Aired from July 2019 to December 2019, the first season comprises 24 episodes, and considering how it adapts the Slave Arc following the War Arc in the first season, we can expect another 24-episodic series....

Variety reports that Warner Bros. Pictures is already planning the next installments to Batman Begins and Superman Returns, with respective helmers Christopher Nolan and Bryan Singer in line to return. Neither director’s deal is closed; the studio has hired Jonah Nolan – Christopher’s brother – to pen the screenplay for the untitled Batman project. Studio has options on Batman Begins star Christian Bale and Superman Returns star Brandon Routh. The next installment in the Caped Crusader franchise is further along in the process since Batman Begins was released last summer; Singer’s Superman Returns, now in post, doesn’t bow until June 30....

The Weinstein Co. has optioned film rights to the book “No Woman No Cry: My Life With Bob Marley,” written by the reggae star’s widow Rita Marley, with plans to develop and produce a biopic about the legendary Jamaican singer. According to Variety, the book chronicles the couple’s tempestuous marriage, which began in 1966 and weathered numerous separations and affairs, the birth of four children together (Marley may have fathered as many as 22 in all, 10 legally recognized) and an assassination attempt in 1976....
