The rumor mill is swirling with some new buzz that past superhero actors might be brought back in The Flash. Per TMZ, the latest rumor about the DCEU’s high-profile superhero movie is that Superman star Christopher Reeve and Batman star Adam West will be making posthumous appearances in the film. It’s best to take the rumors with a grain of salt with no official confirmation at this time, but it does seem plausible, given how Warner Bros....

The latest entry in the vicious saga of The Handmaid’s Tale is arriving on Hulu on September 14, 2022. Season 5 begins in the wake of the grisly murder of Commander Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) by June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) and a gang of women brutalized by Waterford and the totalitarian hellhole of Gilead. Built up as a depraved, power-hungry, and self-righteous predator, Waterford, and his death will likely be the engine of the latest season of the series....

Deadline New York is reporting that unions such as the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and five other unions have instructed their members not to work on The Hobbit. The site is reporting that the movie’s producers refused to enter into union negotiations for cast and crew members, although they believe the situation may be resolved. Hugh Grant will voice the lead role alongside an all-star cast in The Pirates! Band of Misfits, the new stop-motion, 3D, animated film produced by Aardman Animations for Sony Pictures Animation. The film, which will be distributed by Columbia Pictures, will be released March 30, 2012 in North America. Hugh Grant, starring in his first animated role, is the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain - a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas....

The Walking Dead season 10 ended with something of a big cliffhanger as the show didn’t end as originally expected. The season finale wasn’t finished ahead of the production shut down and will now air later this year as a one-off special of sorts. Now, director Greg Nicotero reveals what happened, as well as teasing a bit of what to expect from the episode. Author Stephen King’s classic 1978 novel The Stand will be turned into a new movie through a joint venture with Warner Bros. and CBS Films. Roy Lee will produce the project. CBS has held onto the rights to The Stand for several years, and recently set out to co-produce the new adaptation with another studio. Warner Bros. beat out Fox and Sony in a hotly-contested bidding war. Warner Bros. will handle worldwide distribution and marketing while CBS Films has the option to co-finance the project....

Yesterday we reported that the third installment of a popular vampire film series could undergo reshoots without the original director and the day before that we reported that Sony wasn’t happy with an upcoming superhero film. It seems that both stories aren’t true. IndieWire is reporting that Summit Entertainment has confirmed that pick-ups (not a reshoot) on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse are happening, but director David Slade will be at the helm....

The latest iteration of The Twilight Zone (2019) has come to an end. Next month, CBS All Access will be officially rebranded as the new streaming service Paramount+, and tons of new movies and TV shows have just been announced for the streamer. That won’t include another season of Jordan Peele’s reboot of the iconic horror anthology series, as The Twilight Zone has reportedly been canceled after a two-season run on CBS All Access....

Sony is chugging along with its latest group of projects. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio announced updates and release dates for a number of upcoming titles. One of the projects is Tom Hanks’ A Man Called Otto. It has been given a holiday release date a it is set to hit theaters on Dec. 25, 2022. RealGames, a division of RealNetworks, Inc., and Summit Entertainment today announced the availability of a mobile game based on the wildly popular film Twilight, titled Twilight: The Movie Game}. The game, which was created by Real’s own Mr. Goodliving studio out of Finland, is now available to wireless customers of AT&T. Twilight: The Movie Game} will be available on other major North American and European wireless carrier decks later this month....

Peacock’s latest live-action project is based on a much loved and widely known PlayStation game, Twisted Metal. The first title was released over two decades ago, in 1995, and took the form of a series of vehicular combat games. The series has reportedly sold 5 million copies as of today. Despite being based on the video games, the series will follow an original story from the game’s universe. The script has been authored by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the talent behind works such as the Deadpool movies and Spiderhead....

Last month we reported that Oscar winner Christoph Waltz would be replacing Sean Penn in an upcoming film project, and now we’ve learned that Waltz himself had to be replaced on another film as well. Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that Viggo Mortensen will replace Christoph Waltz in The Talking Cure. It seemed that when Waltz stepped in for Penn for the film Water for Elephants last month, he had to leave The Talking Cure, which will be directed by David Cronenberg and is set to start filming this May....

Ever since Osama Bin Laden was shot and killed on May 1st, many have wondered which studio will jump on a movie chronicling Seal Team Six, the covert team of Navy Seals behind the mission.
