One of this year’s more interesting psychological thrillers hits DVD July 17. In a story from DavisDVD, they report that New Line Home Entertainment has picked that day to release The Number 23 in a special Infinifilm Edition. Synopsis: Spiraling into a dark obsession with the number 23, Walter Sparrow (Jim Carrey) twists his once idyllic life into an inferno of psychological torture that could possibly lead to his death as well as the deaths of his loved ones....

Screenwriter Jason D. Keller has come aboard to rewrite The Passage for 20th Century Fox. We first reported on the project back in April, when director Matt Reeves signed on to direct. The Passage is based on the best-selling novel by Justin Cronin, which centers on a scientific experiment gone horribly awry that unleashes a new breed of vampires on society. These are no ordinary vampires either, since they also have the ability to read minds....

As one of the most recognizable and beloved actors of the 2000s, Michael Clarke-Duncan rose to fame with his tough-guy roles that eventually gave way to more moving and complex performances. Standing at six feet and five inches, the actor was known as something of a gentle giant with his notable efforts in animal rights activism and work with the Sue Duncan Children’s Center. Get the Chianti ready for this classic Oscar-winning film in 1080p. The Silence of the Lambs is coming to Blu-ray on March 3. The disc will be priced at $34.99 and filled with a wealth of new extras. The film stars Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster in their Oscar-winning roles and Ted Levine. A psychopath nicknamed Buffalo Bill is murdering young women across the Midwest. Believing it takes one to know one, the FBI sends Agent Clarice Starling (Foster) to interview a demented prisoner who may provide clues to the killer’s actions....

With a release date finally announced last week for CBS All Access’ take on the novel, we now have our first glimpse at what to expect from this haunting tale when it eventually hits our screens. The Stand is a disturbingly prescient tale, the narrative of which details Stephen King’s apocalyptic vision of a world decimated by plague and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil. The trailer, while very short, does give us a good idea of the eerily foreboding atmosphere that the show has in store, as well as giving us a peek at several of the series’ large ensemble cast including James Marsden as protagonist Stu Redman, and Alexander Skarsgård as the villainous Randall Flagg....

Despite a dramatic fall from grace in viewership over the last handful of years The Walking Dead remains one of the biggest shows on television. AMC’s post-apocalyptic zombie series, based on the Image Comics title of the same name from Robert Kirkman, maintained its status as the highest-rated show on cable TV in season 10. This is even more impressive considering the show was forced to end its run early this year, as the season finale wasn’t finished ahead of the ongoing production shutdown....

The final season of The Walking Dead begins with “Acheron: Part I”. The episode opens at night on Daryl’s (Norman Reedus) repainted jacket. He, Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Carol (Melissa McBride), and a group from Alexandria are on the roof of a building at Fort Connors in Virginia. They open a ceiling pane to see starved walkers lying motionless on the ground. Maggie, Rosita (Christian Serratos), Kelly (Angel Theory), Carol, Lydia (Cassady McClincy), and Magna (Nadia Hilker) are lowered to the ground by ropes....

Netflix has evolved from a DVD rental service to producing original content, which began in 2013 and has since garnered 44 Emmy Awards to date. Netflix originals have become not only globally popular but also critically acclaimed, with original content accounting for over 40% of its streaming library. The rollercoaster of 2021 had everyone socially distancing from each other, but Netflix made isolation a bit easier with a fantastic array of award-winning movies, comedies, dramas, docuseries and more....

The first episode of the American animated television program ThunderCats Roar, which Warner Bros. Animation created for Cartoon Network, aired on February 22, 2020. It is the third television series in the ThunderCats franchise, following the original 1985 and 2011 television series. The show uses a plot similar to the original series. As of 2021, a ThunderCats movie is supposedly in the works from director Adam Wingard, per Variety, with MCU star Anthony Mackie expressing his desire to play Panthro....

2929 Productions announced today it is financing Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, the feature film debut of Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, with Gary Sanchez Productions and its Funny or Die Films banner co-producing. Heidecker and Wareheim will write, direct and star in what is undoubtedly the most expensive production in cinematic history. In addition, 2929’s sister company Magnolia Pictures has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the film, which is shooting throughout the month of March in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, California....

Tom Holland discusses working on Hatchet II, director Adam Green, Cloak and Dagger and much more If you look closely during scenes of Adam Green’s sequel Hatchet II, the keen horror fan will notice a number genre luminaries making smaller appearances in the movie. One of those is Tom Holland, who directed such horror classics as Fright Night, Child’s Play, and he even had hits outside of the genre, writing one of my childhood favorites, Cloak & Dagger....

Following the success of Bumblebee and the positive reception to the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the world has been quickly falling back in love with the Transformers franchise. The Michael Bay era has officially come to an end, but he has left behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. Vanessa Marano discusses her new role of Bay Kennish on ABC Family’s new program Switched at Birth The ABC Family network will debut its latest show Switched at Birth on Monday, June 6 at 9 PM ET. The series revolves around two young women (Katie Leclerc and Vanessa Marano) who discover the families they grew up with are not really their own after they were switched at birth, which leads them to try and unite both families....

With the loss of its biggest character Ragnar Lothbrok last season, History Channel’s Vikings are entering a new era of storytelling this time around. At the end of last season, Ragnar’s sons all banded together and killed Kings Ecbert (Linus Roache) and Aelle in an effort to avenge their father’s death. But even in victory, inner conflict got the best of Ivar (Alex Hogh Anderson) and he struck down his brother Sigurd (David Lindstrom) with an ax, ending his life....

The Flash Season 3 ended on a cliffhanger that left some very big questions on the table heading into next season. Most notably, there seemed to be a chance that Keiynan Lonsdale’s Wally West, aka Kid Flash, would be taking over for Barry Allen next season. Not to worry, Grant Gustin fans, because it looks like that isn’t going to happen. At least not yet. Keiynan Lonsdale, who joined the show during The Flash season 2, recently spoke with Newsweek about playing Wally West and some of his other projects, like his music career....
