Trailer Park Boys looks to be coming back on Netflix, and this time as an animated series. After concluding Season 12 on Netflix, the future of the show had been unclear, with no officil confirmation that the series would continue. In a new post on the program’s official Facebook page, however, an image shows the characters in animated form. Teasing that an animated continuation is in the works, the caption reads, “CHANNEL 10 BREAKING NEWS: We’re getting reports of ‘something DEEECENT’ happening at Sunnyvale Trailer Park!...

Many years ago, Pixar revolutionized the world of animation with the release of Toy Story, and even though the company is already a major player in the industry, it strives to improve year after year, delivering increasingly better productions. Indeed, with Turning Red, Pixar broke the mold, not only for its theme, but for its choice of its main characters and the representation it showcases. This film follows Mei Lee, a 13-year-old Chinese-Canadian girl with an inherited curse: every time she experiences an emotion that is hard to control, she turns into a giant red panda....

According to Variety, Google recently announced a partnership with CBS to sell new and library programs via the Net. Similar to pacts putting Disney and NBC U content on iTunes, Google will offer skeins for download at a price that should match or be close to iTunes’ $1.99. Neither company would comment, but sources close to the deal confirmed Google will very soon start selling downloads of CBS shows. While exact details weren’t available, it’s expected to include a mix of just-aired skeins and library programs....

USA Network has picked up The Dead Zone, the hit series starring Anthony Michael Hall (Sixteen Candles), for a sixth broadcast season of 13 one-hour episodes, it was announced by Jeff Wachtel, USA’s executive vice president, original programming. Produced by Lionsgate , the leading independent filmed entertainment studio, and CBS Paramount International Television in association with Piller-Segan, the series will return to USA Network in summer 2007, with production scheduled to begin early next year....

The road leading to Valkyrie’s impending release has gotten bumpier yet again. According to Reuters, a group of 12 extras who are seeking $11 million in damages from United Artists, for injuries suffered on the set of Valkyrie. The extras suffered broken bones and cuts and bruises on August 19, 2007, after a side panel broke on a truck carrying the extras as it turned a corner. A lawyer for the extras said the panel had not been properly secured on the German period truck....

Horror fans can get two new versions of The Wicker Man on December 19. In a story from Fangoria, if you missed it in theaters, Warner Bros. recent retelling of 1973’s The Wicker Man (starring Nicolas Cage), is going to be available the same day as a two disc version is released of the classic film. In the 2006 retelling, a young child has gone missing and it’s up to a haunted but determined policeman to travel to the remote island community where she was last seen and solve the lingering mystery of her disappearance in director Neil LaBute’s updated reworking of Anthony Shaffer’s 1973 cult horror classic....

With the Warner Bros. Discovery merger complete, CEO David Zaslav is taking a closer look at the company’s films and series that are in development. Many of those projects are supposed to be coming from J.J. Abrams, whose production company Bad Robot inked a $250 million overall deal with Warner back in 2019. Abrams is working on original series such as Demimonde and Subject to Change for HBO Max, and also has a handful of DC properties that are in development....

British actor and martial artist Andrew Koji has joined the cast of the upcoming action fantasy film, Boy Kills World. Sam Raimi and Roy Lee are producing the film, with Bill Skarsgard and Samara Weaving headlining the cast. Boy Kills World is described as a “one-of-a-kind action spectacle set in a dystopian fever-dream reality.” As per Deadline, “Boy Kills World follows a boy who is a deaf-mute with a vibrant imagination....

There is a whole lot of mystery surrounding season 13 of the CW’s Supernatural and a whole of weird stuff that’s apparently about to get a lot weirder thanks to the footage that was released at San Diego Comic-Con. In addition to those weird events including a Scooby-Doo crossover animated episode, the cult favorite show is going to attempt yet anther spin-off. But this time it’s going to center on Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) and is entitled Wayward Sisters....

We are months away from The Addams Family getting rebooted at Netflix. As has been previously reported, a new take on the kooky family is in the works as a live-action series with Tim Burton on board to direct. Called Wednesday, the series stars Jenna Ortega (Scream, X) as an older version of Wednesday Addams in her college years after moving out of the family mansion. Per Collider, new promotional materials have been released for Wednesday, revealing when the series will start streaming....

HBO is releasing their first Super Bowl commercial in 20 years to promote the upcoming second season of Westworld. The debut trailer will play at some point during the Super Bowl. To tide us over, HBO has released a brief teaser clip. Westworld premiered last fall to an enthusiastic response, going on to become one of HBO’s biggest hits and fans have been waiting since last winter to see what Season 2 has in store for them....

Jordana Brewster looks to lead the upcoming comedy with a lot of heart, titled Who Invited Charlie? The project should be a ton of fun, though Brewster’s character, Rosie, and her husband, Phil (Reid Scott, Veep), certainly have a lot on their plate from the looks of the official trailer. In the film, the couple plan to wait out the pandemic in the Hamptons, far from the hustle and bustle of New York City....

Ms. Marvel has arrived on Disney+ and, like her comic book counterpart, is set to shake things up. Introduced in 2014, Kamala Khan is a Pakistani-American teenager living in Jersey who is a major fan of superheroes and particularly Captain Marvel. One eventful night, she unlocks superpowers of her own and decides to take on the mantle of a superhero named Ms. Marvel. Created when Marvel Comics was pushing the Inhumans very hard as a replacement for X-Men, as Disney and Marvel Studios did not have the film rights to the X-Men and wanted Inhumans to be their super-powered replacement, Ms....

Animation has been around for a very long time, but the earliest cartoons were not much more than flipbooks. The first cartoon characters were created as early as 1908 by American animators Earl Hurd and J.R. Bray. These early cartoons featured Felix the Cat, who became one of the most popular cartoon characters of all time, and Koko the Clown. Animation has a unique way of bringing stories to life in the most imaginative of ways without the barriers that come with live-action....

It seems we can expect the first trailer to Michel Gondry’s new superhero film in the coming months. MTV Splash Page spoke with director Michel Gondry recently, who said that the first trailer for The Green Hornet will be released either in the spring or summer. We’ll keep you posted if we hear any further news about a trailer for this highl-anticipated film. The Green Hornet stars Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour, Tom Wilkinson, Christoph Waltz and will be released in theaters everywhere on December 22....

The hit superhero movie The Batman will fall from its top spot at the box office this weekend thanks to the premiere of the new action-adventure film The Lost City. Directed by Adam and Aaron Nee, the Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum vehicle pulled in $31 million at the domestic box office for the weekend. The Batman came up a bit shorter with $20.5 million, which knocks it down to the second place spot, but it still an excellent haul for its fourth weekend in theaters....

Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson says the film’s anticipated sequel is “bonkers,” and she’s eager for the film to be released for the world to see. Just recently, Larson wrapped her work on the sequel, called The Marvels, teasing its upcoming 2023 release date that’s just under a year away. Of course, as a Marvel movie, there wasn’t much she could say about what we can expect. In a new interview with Uproxx, he provided a few more details, and while she couldn’t be specific, Larson says the screenplay alone blew her away....

“Ah, a bear in his natural habitat…. A Studebaker!” In 1979, audiences got to see their favorite Muppet characters make their big-screen debut in The Muppet Movie. The film was a road trip story, which followed Kermit The Frog and all his friends as they drove across the country to make their way to Hollywood. Now, the owners of one of those very cars are hoping to return the car to its former glory....

The 1989 film The Punisher seems to have taken Netflix by storm lately. Ironically, it is the same platform that gave this iconic anti-hero from Marvel the treatment it deserves, in the form of the Netflix original series based on the character. Before Joe Bernthal’s comic book accurate Netflix portrayal and Thomas Jane’s 2004 attempt to bring the character to life on the silver screen, there was Dolph Lundgren’s The Punisher, an action film that had very little in common with the comic book origins of Frank Castle....
