Sydney Sweeney is continuing her rise in Hollywood with a book-to-film adaptation. The Registration, based on the book of the same name by Madison Lawson, is currently in development through Sony with the Euphoria actress attached to star and produce. Following his run as fan favorite character Tormund Giantsbane on Game of Thrones, Kristofer Hivju has been cast for a role in the popular Netflix series The Witcher. As reported by Redanian Intelligence, a casting breakdown for the show’s second season reveals Hivju has officially been cast as a character called “Nigel.” This is believed to be a codename for Nivellen, who appears in the short story “A Grain of Truth” from Andrzej Sapkowski’s book The Last Wish, and the character description for Nigel makes it appear that way as well....

The second season of The Witcher has unfortunately lost one its new cast members due to scheduling conflicts, with Fast & Furious 9 star Thue Rasmussen confirming his exit from the popular Netflix show. Rasmussen was due to portray the Witcher, Eskel, in the show but has sadly had to drop out due to commitments elsewhere. Given the characters importance to the show, the creative team behind The Witcher will no doubt be looking to recast as soon as possible....

This summer, Hasbro Inc.’s legendary Transformers robots “star” in their first-ever live-action feature film, produced by DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures. CNN’s Chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta made headlines last week when he was banned from the White House by Donald Trump after they got into an argument during a press conference. Now CNN is suing the Trump Administration in hopes of getting Acosta reinstated at his old job. Acosta’s press credentials were ripped away after he got into a heated discussion with Trump. The President has an ongoing tense relationship with the media, often labeling various outlets as Fake News, and he is especially hard on CNN in general....

It’s early, but Michael Wolff’s novel Fire and Fury, which details President Trump and his first year in the White House, is probably going to wind up being the biggest book of 2018. And now the controversial novel is being turned into a TV series. Endeavour Content has reportedly purchased the film and TV rights to the novel and is planning to adapt as a TV series. No network is attached at the present time, but given the popularity of the book and the subject matter, it’s only a matter of time before someone snatches up the project....

If Wal-Mart was going to get into the cheap HD-DVD player market it would be a good idea if the company itself knew about it. In a story from PC Magazine, Wal-Mart is claiming that “leaks concerning Taiwan-based consumer electronics manufacturer, Fuh Yuan, partnering with TDK in China to manufacture the $250-299 players, had no merit.” “The article… was full of inaccuracies and we had no participation in it,” a spokesperson for Wal-Mart stated in an email....
