With all of the various superhero film properties coming out of DC Comics and Warner Brothers, it makes sense that rumors about the next Batman and Superman movies, and the upcoming Green Lantern film have gone out of control. Well, Alan Horn, President of Warner Brothers, recently had a few questions about those films proposed to him by the folks at Collider, and here’s what he had to say. On the subject of a sequel to The Dark Knight, Horn said “We’ve been talking to Chris Nolan and what we have to do is get him in the right place and have him tell us what he thinks the notion might be for a great story, but Chris did a great job and we’d love to have him come back and do another one....

Adult Swim surprised everyone this year with a special holiday occasion: their own branded yule log. The practice isn’t unfamiliar to the network, as they ran a special Rick and Morty-themed yule log in 2021. For those who tuned into the network this December, they were treated to something a little more engaging than wood gently crackling over open flames. The yule log turned out to be the latest project from frequent Adult Swim collaborator Casper Kelly, turning what was supposed to be a festive night into a horrifying, grisly hour and a half....

It has been announced that actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be joining the cast of Prime Video’s hit satirical superhero series The Boys. The news comes after the release of the third season of The Boys to great critical acclaim. The series takes a darkly comedic look at a reality where superheroes are common, but far from noble or heroic. Morgan is no stranger to prestige television. His memorable turn as Negan in The Walking Dead, the AMC horror-drama series, is considered a highlight of the show....

Marvel Studios has twenty-eight films released in the past fourteen years, starting with Iron Man (2008). For five years, the franchise stuck to films before the studio planned for a much wider expansion of the cinematic universe with television productions. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D added deep backgrounds to the films’ events and filled in the loops well, making the overall interconnected storyline more complete and convincing. The Boys are almost back in town, and with them comes all the violence, foul-language and horrendous superhero action that fans have come to expect. One such super is Chace Crawford’s Aquaman-esque member of The Seven, The Deep, who it appears will be continuing to confront the error of his ways, and even seek absolution. A new clip from The Boys shows the underwater superhero turning to new recruit, Starlight, in hopes of earning forgiveness for his actions....

Universal Pictures announced today that the final trailer for its new dramatic adventure King Kong , directed by triple Academy Award® winner Peter Jackson, will be shown in theaters across the country on Friday, November 4. The trailer will precede screenings of Jarhead, Oscar® winner Sam Mendes’ adaptation of Marine Anthony Swofford’s bracing memoir of his disorienting firsthand experience in the Gulf War. Jarhead stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Jamie Foxx and Peter Sarsgaard and opens tomorrow....

A&E presents The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty a new real-life series that will chronicle the personal and professional lives of Jackie, Jermaine, Tito and Marlon as they prepare for a Jackson Five reunion, while also coming to terms with Michael’s tragic loss. The series premieres Sunday, December 13 with back-to-back one-hour episodes beginning at 9:00pm ET/PT. The series will then move to its regularly scheduled time, Sunday’s at 10:00pm ET/PT beginning December 20 on A&E....

We’ve got one very important update regarding The Mandalorian, with many more on the way next month. The first ever live-action Star Wars TV series is well underway and will be making its way to our living rooms later this year, via Disney+, the company’s upcoming streaming service. Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book), is heading up the series and recently shared a very intriguing photo from behind the scenes, just as Lucasfilm confirmed that the series will be getting a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago....

Lionsgate, a leading global entertainment company, together with Tyler Perry, today announced the commencement of production of The Marriage Counselor. The film, which is based on Perry’s beloved stage play of the same name, marks the prolific filmmaker and multi-media tycoon’s 13th feature film production with Lionsgate in seven years. The announcement was made by Perry and Joe Drake, Lionsgate’s co-COO and Motion Picture Group President. The film is currently shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, at the filmmaker’s own 200,000 square foot studio compound Tyler Perry Studios....

After conducting an unconventional competition that started with 40 fellowship candidates, Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) has officially closed the case on who will join his diagnostic team. His final decision was revealed in Tuesday night’s House episode “Games.” House airs Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Fellowship candidates Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson), Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn) and Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) weathered a competition that included an intense litany of unorthodox exercises, random eliminations and medical mysteries that tested their abilities and training, while House intruded into their personal lives to uncover more information than they were prepared to reveal....

Until today, the release date was set for Friday, Sept 2; however, some fans will see the series on Thursday since the show will release simultaneously across all time zones. Warner Bros. is currently exploring a possible prequel to the 1980 Stanley Kubrick horror classic The Shining. The studio stressed that they are still in very early stages, and the project is not even officially in development at this time. Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island), Brad Fischer (Black Swan), and James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man) have been brought on as producers, to explore a new take on the project. The story will be set before Jack Torrance and his family arrive at the foreboding Overbrook Hotel....

The Simpsons have been America’s family since 1989, and the juggernaut of a series continues to produce episodes well into the 21st century. With more than 700 episodes and no end in sight, the show is one of the longest running series in television history. Home, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and their colorful collection of family, friends, and neighbors have been welcomed guests into audiences homes for decades. One particular thing that the show does well is their annual holiday specials, most notably their Tree House of Horror series released each Fall, as well as the always funny and occasionally heartfelt Christmas episode each season....

Eight seasons is a lot of time for character development. The Vampire Diaries constantly put its entire set of main characters through the wringer. Get ready to plunge into the loch on DVD. According to DVD Active, The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray on April 8. The film will be available in both the two-disc standard and Blu-Ray formats, and will be priced at $28.96 for the two-disc and $38.96 for the BD. Can a parody be too perfect?
