One of America’s most popular game shows is hitting the road. In honor of this year’s 50th anniversary of The Price Is Right, CBS has announced a nationwide tour that will consist of 50 different stops across the United States. Fans who attend will be given the opportunity to play games and score prizes with the chance to win a grand prize of $50,000. It has been dubbed The Price Is Right: Come on Down Tour, referring to the popular catchphrase popularized by the TV show....

English author Neil Gaiman’s latest book adaptation is going straight to Netflix. Based on a series of comic books of the same name, published by DC and written by Gaiman, The Sandman is iconic in certain circles. Blending history and mythology, Gaiman creates a world that tells the story of how the world works behind the scenes and who is responsible for specific parts of it, like your Dreams. The official Netflix description for The Sandman says, “After years of imprisonment, Morpheus — the King of Dreams — embarks on a journey across worlds to find what was stolen from him and restore his power....

The Sopranos changed television forever. With some of the first antihero protagonists on TV, the show also broke stereotypes of what the audience was accustomed to seeing on television and what mobsters and families were really like. To this day some consider The Sopranos to be one of the best shows ever made. The last episode of the show aired back in 2007, and since then, the fans have been wanting more....

The Spirit was created by legendary cartoonist Will Eisner (for whom the comic book award The Eisner is named). The character debuted in 1940 in newspaper strips as a masked crime-fighting detective whose stories dabble in a variety of genres including horror, mystery, comedy, and romance. The character has been published by many different companies including DC Comics, IDW Publication, and Dynamite Entertainment. The character was a major inspiration for writer Frank Miller, who drew inspiration from The Spirit and his adventures when he was working on Daredevil in the 1980s....

Universal Pictures has pushed back the release of potential horror franchise The Wolf Man from April 3 to Nov. 6 and pushed Ridley Scott’s Nottingham out of 2009 altogether. According to Variety, Universal Pictures has also pushed up the release date for The Fast and the Furious 4 which will now open on April 3, instead of June 12. Nottingham, toplining Russell Crowe, will open in 2010, but Universal did not set a specific date....

Netflix has set an official release date for Trailer Park Boys: The Animated Series on March 31, and an official trailer has also been released to give fans an early look at the show. Continuing the adventures of Bubbles, Ricky, and Julian, these new episodes follow the events of Season 12 for the long-running series, which ended with the characters turning into cartoon characters. Now, it seems their foray into animation is just days away from arriving on Netflix, and it’s needless to say fans of the series are incredibly excited to know that the boys are back....

Don’t bring up the Oscars controversy around Wanda Sykes for a while. Back in March, Sykes served as one of three hosts of the Academy Awards alongside Amy Schumer and Regina Hall. Technical issues might hinder Warner Bros. planned March 28th release of it’s first HD DVD titles. Recently, Home Media Retailing reported that the only studio to give a solid release date might have to scale back their plans a bit. “To be honest, the outlook is tenuous - we’re still coming out with an initial slate, but we may be a week or two later; we just don’t know,” said Ron Sanders division president....

The First Avenger: Captain America director Joe Johnston recently revealed that casting should start soon and now that seems to be the case. Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that Johnston will begin testing candidates for the title role in the film and the front-runners are Chace Crawford, John Krasinski, Scott Porter, Mike Vogel and Michael Cassidy. The site is also reporting that Garrett Hedlund is another name being considered for the role but, as of now, they haven’t been able to reach a testing deal with the actor as of yet....

At 73 years old, many people are ready to sit back and relax, but Shelley Duvall is about to make her movie come back with her first role for 20 years in The Forest Hills. Seeing Duvall return to screens will be a buzz for those who remember some of her previous iconic roles, including that of Wendy Torrance in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. The Forest Hills is an indie horror movie written and directed by Scott Goldberg, in which Duvall plays the mother of Rico, the central character who wanders the Catskills Mountains, being driven mad by nightmarish visions....

Netflix wants more of The Lincoln Lawyer. Officially, the streamer has just renewed the series for a second season after the first season found great success upon its debut this year. With season 2, Dailyn Rodriguez will join Ted Humphrey as co-showrunner and executive producer on the David E. Kelly-created series. Season 2 will consist of ten episodes and will be based on the fourth book of Michael Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Fifth Witness....

The Good Martin Sheen and the rest of the cast all acquit themselves well. The Bad I didn’t like this show when Aaron Sorkin’s heavy hands were all over it, but I am not so sure that I like it any more with him gone. A24 has released numerous awards-caliber films this year, but none were perhaps as highly anticipated as The Whale. The drama film is directed by Darren Aronofsky (mother!, Black Swan), stars Brendan Fraser (The Mummy, Crash) in an ultimate comeback role, and is based on a screenplay by Samuel D. Hunter, who adapted his 2012 play of the same name. Making its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival 2022, The Lost King is Stephen Frears’ newest movie since 2017’s Victoria & Abdul.
