There are a number of excellent characters from Naughty Dogs’ beloved post-apocalyptic video game The Last of Us that have yet to make their debut in HBO’s television adaptation. We’ve met our main characters Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey), as well as some supporting characters such as Joel’s daughter Sarah (Nico Parker), his brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna), Tess (Anna Torv), and Marlene (Merle Dandridge). In the most recent episode, we were introduced to Joel’s friend Bill (Nick Offerman) and his partner Frank (Murray Bartlett)....

Another direct-to-DVD release finds its way to the top of the charts. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning was the top-selling DVD for the week ending August 31. The straight-to-video Disney film held off some stiff competition from the theatrical comedy What Happens in Vegas and the four-disc set of Heroes: Season 2, which finished in second and third on the sales charts, respectively. Another new release, The Nightmare Before Christmas Collector’s Edition finished in fourth place on the sales charts while last week’s top seller, Camp Rock, slipped to fifth place in its second week....

While Netflix isn’t one to let their viewership numbers out there for everyone and their mothers to gaze upon, it seems to be a pretty well-known fact that The Office starring Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, and John Krasinski is the streaming giant’s number one show for years now. Well, we’re sorry to report that this all comes to an end in 2021 as NBC announced Tuesday that The Office is leaving Netflix....

Fox Television announced today that it has made a put pilot commitment for The Untitled Dwayne Johnson/Brian Gewirtz/Andrew Gurland Wrestling Project, a comedy series inspired by the real life experiences of Dwayne Johnson and former WWE head writer, Brian Gewirtz. The half-hour single camera comedy offers a behind-the-scenes look at a fictional professional wrestling outfit and chronicles the one-of-a-kind odd couple relationship that develops between a charismatic young Rock-like character and a painfully awkward comedy writer new to the world of wrestling....

2022 is brimming with Christmas movies like Violent Night, which stars Santa Claus in an action-packed role. In some ways, these films harken back to the classic 1990s, when Santa was more than just a character who delivered presents to children on his flying reindeer. We’ve long known that director Bill Condon was shooting Stephenie Meyer’s final novel The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in tact, with the hopes of getting a PG-13 somewhere down the line of edits. In a recent Glamour Magazine interview, actress Kristen Stewart revealed that the first cut of her and costar Robert Pattinson’s infamous Honeymoon sex scene did, in fact, garner an R rating from the MPAA. The Thunderbolts are coming to the MCU. At San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced that Thunderbolts would be released on July 26, 2024, and would be the end of Phase 5 of the MCU. Fans were already aware that Thunderbolts was getting a film prior to the announcement ever since June 2022 when Robot & Frank filmmaker Jake Schreier was announced to direct the film. The announcement was still big news, as the Thunderbolts are a popular concept in the comics and one the MCU seems to have been teasing through Phase 4....

Topher Grace is setting his 2007 up with two new comedies, Kids in America for Universal Pictures and Coxblocker for MTV Films. Kids is about one night in the lives of a group of recent college grads in the late 1980s; Michael Dowse will direct. It follows Matt Franklin (Grace), an aimless college grad who pursues his dream girl at a wild Labor Day weekend party. Production Weekly says he, his twin sister and their best friend struggle with their burgeoning adulthood over the course of the night....

Director Michael Bay and producer Steven Spielberg are indeed returning for Transformers 4, but get ready to hear the term “reboot” kicked around a lot, as none of the former franchise cast members are returning, which opens the series up for reinvention. At this moment in time, it’s still being called Transformers 4, but that will likely change before it hits the big screen on June 29th of 2014. Josh Duhamel, who co-starred in the first three films confirmed earlier today that he will not be returning....

Marvel’s Eternals film directed by Chloé Zhao, has been the most standalone project in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Avengers: Endgame and the end of The Infinity Saga.
