Action-adventure fans can enjoy a first look of the highly anticipated epic fantasy series Legend of the Seeker before its November 1st premiere weekend. Disney-ABC Domestic Television is offering an extended preview of the nationally-syndicated series as a free download, exclusively available on the iTunes Store. The free download, entitled “Legend of the Seeker: A First Look,” will give fans the opportunity to view the first 30-minutes of the upcoming two-hour television event executive-produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, the team that brought the characters of Hercules and Xena to life almost a decade ago....

Back in the early 90s a new movie called White Men Can’t Jump helped Woody Harrelson find his feet in the movie industry in the wake of Cheers heading towards a conclusion, and also boosted the career of Wesley Snipes. Now it looks like the basketball based film is all set to get the remake treatment and is seeking out Calmatic to direct fresh off his work helming the reboot of House Party for New Line....

A24’s upcoming film Bodies Bodies Bodies may be the cheesy, campy horror-comedy some audiences are craving. The film will be released on August 5, 2022, and had its world premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival on March 14, 2022. The film’s trailer promises viewers a lot of blood and laughs, while the Bodies Bodies Bodies movie poster assures us that the characters are not in a safe space....

The 1980s were a decade full of big hair, punk rock, New Wave, video games, political drama, and leg-warmers. It was also full of werewolves. In 1981 alone, there were four werewolf flicks in the theaters, those being Wolfen, An American Werewolf in London, Full Moon High, and, the subject of this very article, The Howling. The rest of the decade saw many more lycanthropes lighting up the silver screen, including The Beast Within, The Company of Wolves, Silver Bullet, The Monster Squad, Monster Dog, and a plethora of Howling sequels....

Sony Studio said Friday that it is postponing production on the Tom Hank’s Angels and Demons, which is a prequel to last year’s megahit The Da Vinci Code. According to Variety, the script, which was written by Da Vinci screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, was rushed to meet the WGA’s Nov. 1 deadline for reaching a new contract with producers, and came in with insurmountable problems. Furthermore, no cast had signed on beyond Hanks....

The I Know What You Did Last Summer Franchise is based on a book by Louis Duncan under the same name written in 1973. However, for fans of the books, there were some pretty dramatic adaptation decisions, such as it becoming a slasher film instead of a slow mystery. Still, the movies were well-loved and became cult classics. Their fan base is still going strong, and they recently just made a TV show based on the movie as well....

Our first look at The Flash season 7 has arrived. During a panel for the show at the digital DC FanDome event, the cast and crew shared the first trailer. The series is set to return on The CW in early 2021 and, as we can see from this first footage, Barry Allen will be getting into some action-packed adventures. The initial episodes will be helping to resolve some storylines that were originally set to be part of season 6....

Christopher Ball, President and CEO of LA-based film production and distribution company Wrekin Hill Entertainment, announced today that his company, in association with Row 1 Productions, have acquired the North American distribution rights to award-winning Chinese director Yimou Zhang’s (Raise the Red Lantern, Hero) and producer Weiping Zhang’s The Flowers of War starring Academy Award winning actor Christian Bale (The Fighter, The Dark Knight). The film has been selected as this year’s official foreign language entry for China at the Academy Awards....

Iconic English director Alfred Hitchcock, considered by many The Master of Suspense, is revered as one of the greatest creative minds in the history of cinema. Known for his psychological thrillers, Hitchcock focused on characters in peril, on the run, or under suspicion. Nearly 40 years after its release, the house that director Richard Donner used for the Walsh residence in The Goonies has been put on the market. In the 1985 classic, the house is located in Astoria, Oregon, though the blue-collar neighborhood of the “Goon Docks” doesn’t exist. The house still has the wraparound porch and covered deck with that view of the Pacific Northwest coastline you can see in the movie....

The Good This cast is top notch. The Bad Somewhere along the line, indy films like this just became somewhat formulaic. The Great New Wonderful is a Magnoliaesque tale set in New York after 9/11. It is a character piece of the highest order and boasts a solid cast who all contribute greatly to this film. Tony Shalhoub plays Dr. Trabulous. He is a psychologist who is quite adept at getting to the root of his patient’s problems....

Ridley Scott isn’t looking for criticism of his past movies when doing interviews to promote his newest feature, as one journalist recently found out first hand. Scott has been recently promoting The Last Duel, a movie that has been very much impressing critics even if it didn’t exactly light the box office on fire. A clip from one interview, which has since gone viral and is floating around on social media, saw the journalist comparing the realism in The Last Duel with some of the 84-year-old’s previous movies, and that’s when the conversation went off the rails....

The Amazing Race 9, which premieres with a two-hour broadcast on Tuesday, Feb. 28 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), will move to a new time period on Tuesday (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), effective March 7....
