Universal Pictures is cutting loose the epic multi-platform project The Dark Tower, which was slated for release on May 17, 2013, although that seems unlikely now. Back in May, there was a report that Universal was considering putting The Dark Tower in turnaround, since the budget had grown too big. A week later, it was reported that Universal pushed production back from a summer 2011 start to February 2012, with hopes to try and bring the budget down....

Get ready to scream in December! In a story from Anchor Bay Home Entertainment, they will be re-releasing the Bruce Campbell starrer, The Man with the Screaming Brain, on DVD December 18. Similar to its first season, the big mystery in season 2 of HBO’s The White Lotus was the identities of the dead bodies first seen in the season premiere. Ultimately, the season 2 finale of The White Lotus left fans heartbroken after it was revealed that returning season 1 cast member Tanya was the dead body floating in the ocean in the first episode of the season. Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS) debuted a newly restored digital print of the once-thought-lost 1928 Oswald the Lucky Rabbit animated short Hungry Hobos at the Telluride Film Festival on September 2, according to Dave Bossert, producer/creative director and head of special projects for WDAS. The film, which was found in a private film vault in England in 2011, was acquired by Disney that same year and has undergone extensive digital restoration....
