First introduced in the final season of The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch have returned for a second season in their own titular show, and Star Wars fans are delighted to see more of the “defective” clones of Clone Force 99 and their misadventures in The Bad Batch as the Empire rises from the ashes of the Republic. As in the first season, we find The Batch (all brilliantly voiced by Bradley Dee Baker) and Omega (Michelle Ang) are still pulling mercenary work for Cid (Rhea Perlman), trying to find a way out of the Empire’s tight fist....

The CW Network presented its 2014-15 broadcast schedule today to advertisers, affiliates and national media at New York City Center in New York City. Watch the network’s First Look video, which includes footage from the new programs. Here’s what The CW President Mark Pedowitz had to say in a statement. The CW will launch its fall season in October 2014, with premiere dates to be announced at a later time....

Let’s start with the good news: one of the best television shows is back on the air. The bad news is that it’s the show’s last hurrah. After four excellent seasons, the FX dramedy series, Better Things, has just begun its fifth and final season. It’s especially sad because there’s nothing else like it right now; no other show can fill the niche that Better Things has since 2016. In a streaming and cable TV landscape of intense drama and dark comedy with stories arcs that span seasons, Pamela Adlon’s naturalistic and refreshingly episodic show has been a breath of fresh air....

HD-DVD wants Blu-ray investigated. In a story from Wall Street Journal, it looks like “European antitrust regulators are stepping up their probe into possible anticompetitive practices in the format war over high-definition DVDs.” At the heart of all this is “The European Commission, the European Union’s executive body, appears to be particularly interested in the activities of the Blu-ray group because of its dominance in Hollywood.” They want to investigate “whether improper tactics were used to suppress competition and persuade the studios to back their format....

Everyone has been able to have their opinion on Chris Pratt’s voicing of Mario since the first teaser for Illumination’s Super Mario Bros. Movie delivered one line of his dialogue. Now the new trailer will kick-start the debate again as it delivers a better look at Pratt’s take on the Nintendo icon as well as the first appearance of Seth Rogan’s Donkey Kong and Anya Taylor-Joy’s Princess Peach. This Is Us returns this September with a cast that is bigger than ever. NBC has released a season 4 trailer to show some of the new faces coming to the emotional series and they include When They See Us stars Asante Blackk and Marsha Stephanie Blake, Omar Epps, Bahara Golestani, Jennifer Morrison, Timothy Omundson, Julian Silva, Auden Thornton and Nick Wechsler. Even director M. Night Shyamalan will be making his first acting appearance in a project he did not produce or direct....

Actor Tim Allen has shared a first look image at the upcoming The Santa Clause series, which is due for release on Disney+. Allen took to social media to tease his return as jolly old Saint Nick, with the actor sharing an image from the set of a cozy looking, yet rather grand office space. “Might just be a photo of Santa’s office but don’t tell anyone….” Allen said alongside the image....

I put the quotations around stars because Kerry didn’t do any voice work in the film, but she was the model for the iconic characterization of Tinker Bell....

Tron: Legacy’s theatrical release is just months away, hitting theaters on December 17, and the latest in the movie’s online viral marketing blitz has been released. The website ArcadeAid.com was recently launched, which features a new “arcade game” for users to figure out. The game features a quiz, of sorts, where users have to identify 167 video games from clues peppered throughout. Here’s an image of the starting grid: The image on the top left part of the shot indicates where all of the clues are and, when you click on the clue icon, you’re supposed to type in what video game that clue indicates....

With video games taking over the entertainment world as the number one money maker, it’s still no surprise that movie and game companies hook up. Animated movies are no exception; DreamWorks Animation and Activision have gotten together to design one of the best and most fun kids video games I’ve played in a long time - Over the Hedge, based on the upcoming film. When I opened up the box, put the game in my Playstation 2, I could already tell it was going to be a fun game....

TV Guide Network is giving every day people access to today’s hottest celebrity stylists with the third season premiere of Look-A-Like. This season will include the debut of TV Guide Network’s MySpace Look-A-Like contest episode, which will feature an Ashton Kutcher look-a-like. Nearly 9000 MySpace users voted to choose the winner out of thousands of contestants. Premiering on Tuesday, May 29th at 8:00PM ET/PT, season three of Look-A-Like gives ordinary people the opportunity to portray their favorite celebrity for a day as they are given a head-to-toe makeover....

UGO’s esteemed Patrick dropped a minor bombshell on the Internet community today. And that’s the news that Tyler Perry has chosen J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek film as his segue into the geek community. That’s right, the head of the chitlin circuit is jumping out of his self-financed filmography for a role in next year’s highly anticipated sci fi extravaganza. UGO claims that Perry will be playing the head of the Starfleet Academy....

The Good Robert Stack set the standard for Eliot Ness and other crimefighters. The Bad No extra features, really. Also, only half the season on this release. The Untouchables: Season One, Vol. 2 gives us 14 episodes of Eliot Ness’s elite crime fighting unit going up against the biggest and baddest that Prohibition-era Chicago had to offer. This new installment of episodes sees Ness battling Frank Nitti, assassins, madams, stool pigeons and everybody he can get his hands on....

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a movie theater owned by Utah Jazz owner Larry Miller abruptly changed its screening plans and decided not to show the film Brokeback Mountain. The film, an R-rated Western gay romance story, was supposed to open Friday at the Megaplex at Jordan Commons in Sandy, a suburb of Salt Lake City. Instead it was pulled from the schedule. A message posted at the ticket window read: “There has been a change in booking and we will not be showing ‘Brokeback Mountain....
