Officially, Universal Pictures’ adaptation of the Stephen King novel series The Dark Tower is still moving forward, although insiders claim that the studio is considering dropping the project altogether. Universal is reportedly considering plans to put the project into turnaround, since problems with the budget have recently come up. The studio along with Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment are apparently considering whether to shop the project to another studio, either to co-finance with Universal or to completely take over The Dark Tower....

Romantic comedies are a dime a dozen these days in Hollywood but it is rare to find a solid, well-acted romantic drama in this day and age, especially one that features actors under the age of thirty. Well, The Good Guy is exactly that film. While the film certainly holds some comedic moments, they are out weighed by the dramatic and tender interactions of the characters. Actress Alexis Bledel, best known for her role as Rory Gilmore on TV’s “The Gilmore Girls,” is excellent in this mature role as a successful New York single who feels neglected by her busy Wall Street boyfriend, played by Scott Porter (TV’s “Friday Night Lights”)....

The MCU kicked off in 2008 with the release of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. Iron Man was a surprise hit with critics and audiences and became a box office hit that summer which was an impressive accomplishment for a movie based on a lesser-known character. The Incredible Hulk was released a month after Iron Man and despite being a more popular character, the movie earned half of what Iron Man did....

The Good A very engaging film that features solid performances by all involved. The Bad I wish Forest Whitaker would have done a commentary track for this release. Forest Whitaker embodies the role of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in Director Kevin Macdonald’s The Last King of Scotland. However, this movie follows the journey of Dr. Nicholas Garrigan (James McAvoy) who journeyed to Uganda because he wanted to see more of the world....

Producers Moritz Borman and Peter Graves have acquired film rights for Jon Land’s action thriller novel The Seven Sins: The Tyrant Ascending from Las Vegas entrepreneur Fabrizio Boccardi’s King Midas World Entertainment. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the novel was published last month by Tom Doherty Associates’ Forge imprint, and centers on a Las Vegas casino owner, Michael “The Tyrant” Tiranno, the adopted son of an Italian crime lord who is called upon to defend the gambling mecca from terrorist attacks....

After thirteen years on The CW Network, The Vampire Diaries universe finally concluded with Legacies’ fourth and final season. While we have yet to see the debut of Christian Bale as new Marvel villain Gorr the God Butcher in live-action, he was notably absent from the recent trailer, some more promotional art for Thor: Love and Thunder does offer another look at the Oscar winner’s extra-terrestrial bad guy. Coming courtesy of Twitter user Thor: Love and Thunder News, the artwork sees Gorr facing down both Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Natalie Portman as The Mighty Thor....

The Good A very well done documentary that makes the viewer feel what Sebastian Telfair is going through. The Bad It would have been great to have gotten a commentary track from Telfair and his brother Jamel Thomas. Through the Fire: Sebastian Telfair’s Defining Year is an extraordinary documentary about Coney Island basketball legend, Sebastian Telfair. Since he could walk, it seems like this kid was destined to do great things on the basketball court....

The trailer for Titans season 2 was dropped last night, and it brought a ton of new characters with it. Bruce Wayne, Deathstroke, Ravager and Jericho, Aqualad, Krypto the Dog and Superboy, among others, are making their debut in the DC Universe show this season. The action-packed trailer has us excited for what’s to come. The series follows a group of young heroes that come together to find belonging and fight the forces of evil....

You can relive the first adventure of Edward and Bella on DVD and Blu-ray this March. Twilight will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 21. We have no pricing details as of yet, but it appears that the film will at least be released in a two-disc special edition and you can take a look at the preliminary cover art below. HBO Max has just released the official trailer for Velma, an all-new adult animated series reimagining the brainiest member of Mystery Inc., Velma Dinkley. Seven Arts Pictures (the “Company”) announced today that Vincenzo Natali (Splice, Cube) has been tapped to direct the upcoming motion picture adaptation of William Gibson’s seminal science fiction novel Neuromancer. Neuromancer is to be produced and financed in Canada by Prodigy Pictures in conjunction with Telefilm Canada. The film is expected to commence pre-production early next year in Toronto and has the full support of Telefilm Canada. The Company will continue to handle all sales of the picture....

AMC has shut down production on The Walking Dead Season 8, after a stuntman suffered life-threatening injuries during an on-set accident. Stuntman John Bernecker was severely injured on the Atlanta set of The Walking Dead, where he was transported to a local Atlanta hospital and production was halted. Here’s the statement released by AMC regarding this incident. Deadline reports that John Bernecker suffered a serious head injuring after falling 30 feet to a concrete floor....

We have our first look at WandaVision, the upcoming Marvel show being produced for Disney+, which was initially revealed at CCXP in Brazil.
