The Bad In certain parts this movie seemed to go for the cheap laughs when it didn’t need to. At first when I heard that Jay Chandrasekhar was going to be helming the updated version of The Dukes of Hazzard, this action film seemed to be putting him a little out of his depth....

Last month, Nickelodeon and Paramount+ had unveiled our first look at the official trailer for the upcoming series, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder. The all-new series will be a direct follow-up to the popular Nickelodeon television show that will be featured in a combination of animation and live-action. While it takes a bit getting used to with watching the series in live-action, original voice actors Daran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee’s performance as Cosmo and Wanda brings back the same funny and energetic vibe as the animated series....

Josh Lucas (The Lincoln Lawyer, Sweet Home Alabama) is set to star in NBC’s new legal drama series The Firm, based on John Grisham’s best-selling novel and executive-produced by Grisham and Lukas Reiter. Lucas, whose feature-film credits include Ron Howard’s A Beautiful Mind, Jerry Bruckheimer’s Glory Road, and Ang Lee’s Hulk, will star as attorney Mitchell McDeere (the role originated by Tom Cruise in the film) in the series, which picks up McDeere’s story about a decade after the events of the novel and film....

An elitist white couple runs over an Arab teen on their way to a lavish desert party in Morocco. The Forgiven skewers the debauchery and arrogance of wealthy interlopers while contrasting the impoverished lives of the desperate locals. It is a barbed morality play laden with dark humor and uncomfortable truths. Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastain lead a superb ensemble in a thoughtful film. They bring surprising likeability to distasteful characters with little redeeming qualities....

The Good A solid attempt at telling a story about black and white relations as well as day to day police business. The Bad Splattering Ice Cube’s face on the cover when he’s barely in the movie. A convoluted story that eventually gets lost within itself. Not unlike the much better Dark Blue, The Glass Shield deals with police corruption. This film centers around Johnny Johnson (Michael Boatman), a young police officer who teams up with Deborah Fields (Lori Petty) when they both uncover corruption in their police department....

Warner Bros. has been teasing fans with tidbits about Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker in The Dark Knight for months now. There have been hints given in interviews, and several viral marketing games across the Internet. All of which has served to increase fan’s appetite for the first time they will see Ledger on the big screen as the Clown Prince of Crime. Now, the first scene with the Joker in The Dark Knight has been revealed....

AMC announced today from the Television Critics Association (TCA) Press Tour in Pasadena, CA that the third season of The Walking Dead will consist of 16 episodes. Previous season orders were for 13 episodes. AMC’s international broadcast partner FOX International Channels (FIC) will follow the 16 episode order and structure a similar schedule worldwide. Season two of the critically acclaimed global hit series continues to deliver the strongest telecasts for any drama in basic cable history against Adults 18-49, as well as, top international pay-TV ratings on Fox International Channels’ (FIC) major markets....

Emilio Estevez and Elixir Films’ David Alexanian announced today that they have partnered with John Sloss and Bart Walker’s Producers Distribution Agency (PDA) and Trevor Drinkwater’s ARC Entertainment to release The Way, written and directed by Estevez and starring Martin Sheen, on Friday, October 7. The film which had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival where it played to standing ovations and critical acclaim, was produced by David Alexanian and partly based on the Jack Hitt book, Off the Road: A Modern-Day Walk Down the Pilgrim’s Route into Spain....
