The Walt Disney Studios has entered into an agreement with Yash Raj Films (YRF) Studios, India’s premier studio, to create a series of original and exclusive computer-animated feature films, it was announced today by Dick Cook, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, and Yash Chopra, chairman of YRF Studios. Warner Bros. has released a preview of their upcoming 2012 fall and holiday release schedule for movies opening between September and December. These movies include Trouble with the Curve, Argo, Cloud Atlas, and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Trouble with the Curve - September 21 Gus Lobel (Clint Eastwood) has been one of the best scouts in baseball for decades, but, despite his efforts to hide it, age is starting to catch up with him....

A futuristic take on the tale of Robin Hood is being set up by producers of The Dark Knight and 300 as well as Warner Bros., reported the Risky Biz Blog. Atlas Entertainment and Hollywood Gang are set to produce the untitled film, while commercials director Nicolai Fuglsig, who pitched the project, has signed on to direct. Jason Hall will write the screenplay. Few plot details have been revealed about the new Robin Hood, but it will be set in a dystopian London and center on a band of thieves whose activities restore hope to the city’s embattled population....

Extras is coming to an end on December 16 with an 80-minute series finale on HBO. Ken Jennings recently had to deal with an extremely rare Jeopardy! moment. Jennings is one of several guest hosts who is taking over for the iconic Alex Trebek this year. The former game show champion paid tribute to Trebek during his first episode and has since started to find his own groove, while getting trolled at the same time by one clever contestant with knowledge of Jennings’ record breaking past with Jeopardy!...

We Own This City is a miniseries based on the nonfiction book of the same name by Baltimore reporter, Justin Fenton. It was developed and written by George Pelecanos and David Simon. Fans of Simon’s police show The Wire (which is considered one of the best TV shows ever made) will undoubtedly notice similarities and differences in We Own This City, though we cannot ignore or forget the brilliant show. Of course, we were totally enthralled with this miniseries, a great cop show that shows us how much more excitement Baltimore has to offer after The Wire....

Or, at least it seemed to be when it was announced to be moving forward with Whoopi Goldberg reprising her role as the former showroom bar singer turned nun. However, it has been over a year since anything has been mentioned about the potential third movie in the franchise, and many have started to wonder if it is still happening....

Glu Mobile has announced that their initial line-up of games for Nokia’s N-Gage will include adaptations of Speed Racer and The Dark Knight, as well as “Super Slam Pin Pong”. Digital Media Asia offered a brief description of the two games. In Speed Racer, players will become the titular Speed himself, piloting the Mach 5 in a course that requires them to drift, slide, jump and drive defensives on several extreme tracks....

Two new photos have been released for the highly-anticipated comedy sequel The Hangover Part II, which will hit theaters nationwide on May 26. Just yesterday, series producer Jon Favreau announced the official title and plot for the first-ever Star Wars live-action TV Show The Mandalorian. Today, Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first image, which shows the title character in his full armor strutting through an environment that looks every bit like Star Wars. Though, there is no confirmation on the planet our newly introduced warrior is scouting out. Disney and Lucasfilm officially announced today that production has begun on The Mandalorian, which will debut exclusively on the new Disney streaming service launching next year....

The Good Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear and Hope Davis are all very good here. The Bad This film seems somewhat confused. When this movie came out in theaters, I stayed away from it because it seemed like a calculated attempt to show us a different side of Pierce Brosnan. Bulk him up a bit, have him act zany and ta da… we have The Matador. When I was given it to review on DVD, I can’t say that my initial reaction was 100% different, but it seemed to play well as movie that someone might rent should they have missed it in the theater....

“Woo Hoo!” Universal’s theme parks add animated fun and excitement to their roster as FOX’s blockbuster hit series, The Simpsons, becomes the inspiration for the world’s most highly anticipated new theme park ride. Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson - stars of TV’s longest running series - will ride along with guests in a new mega-attraction opening at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood in Spring 2008. You can bring home the Webbed Wonder in animated form on DVD this September. The Spectacular Spider-Man: Attack of the Lizard! will be released on DVD on September 9. We have no cover art for this title yet, but the disc will be priced at $19.94 SRP. The disc follows the adventurs of a 16-year-old Peter Parker, coping with his new abilities. Eugenio Derbez and Samara Weaving have fantastic chemistry in a hilarious romantic-comedy. The Valet remakes the 2006 hit French film with a distinctly American storyline. The premise has a glamorous Hollywood actress covering up her affair to a married billionaire by pretending to date a Mexican parking attendant. The fake couple bumbles through laugh-out-loud differences in class, race, and ethnicity. A banner supporting cast from both spheres gobble up their mismatched hijinks....

Last night’s Season 4 finale of The Walking Dead set a new finale record, delivering 15.7 million viewers and 10.2 million adults 18-49. The dramatic episode anchored a record-breaking night on AMC, with the live Talking Dead aftershow delivering a series record 7.3 million viewers and 4.7 million adults 18-49. To cap the night, the third season finale of AMC’s Comic Book Men at midnight was watched by 1.1 million viewers and 715,000 adults 18-49....
