Now you can endure one hell of a day on Blu-Ray this June. The Longest Day is getting upgraded to Blu-Ray on June 3. It will be a two-disc edition that will be priced at $39.98. The film stars Eddie Albert and Paul Anka. The Longest Day is a vivid, hour-by-hour recreation of this historic event. Featuring a stellar international cast, and told from the perspectives of both sides, it is a fascinating look at the massive preparations, mistakes, and random events that determined the outcome of one of the biggest battles in history....

A remake of the cult classic horror movie The Stangers has been announced and has entered production in Slovakia. Renny Harlin (Cliffhanger, Deep Blue Sea) will direct this new entry in the series from Lionsgate. Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale), Froy Guiterrez (Cruel Summer), and Gabriel Basso (Hillbilly Elegy) will star. More than that, it’s also been announced that the franchise reboot will be the start of a whole new trilogy. Petsch and Gutierrez will play a young couple whose car breaks down as they travel cross-country to start a new life in the Pacific Northwest....

AMC Networks has announced a summer premiere date for the second season of The Terror, now titled The Terror: Infamy. The series will return to dial up the horror on Monday, August 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT. The Terror: Infamy stars Derek Mio as Chester Nakayama; Kiki Sukezane (Lost in Space) as Yuko, a mysterious woman from Chester’s past; Cristina Rodlo (Miss Bala) as Luz, Chester’s secret girlfriend; Shingo Usami (Unbroken) as Henry Nakayama, Chester’s father; Naoko Mori (Everest) as Asako Nakayama, Chester’s mother; Miki Ishikawa (9-1-1) as Amy, a Nakayama family friend; and renowned actor, producer, author and activist George Takei (Star Trek) as Yamato-san, a community elder and former fishing captain....

Lionsgate and the filmmakers of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, the next installment in the long standing franchise, are pleased to announce the cast of the film, which picks up the story where the original 1974 film left off and will deliver a new chapter in the Leatherface saga with the goal of making it as horrifying as the original – in 3D. Tom Hanks has done it again for Apple TV+, with new sci-fi drama Finch bringing in a record audience for the streaming platform and blowing away Hanks’ previous exclusive Apple movie, Greyhound, in the process. Although Apple doesn’t divulge their viewing figures, sources have said that the apocalyptic movie has become the most-watched film on the platform ahead of the World War II thriller that Hanks delivered last year. According to insiders, Finch was released in over 100 countries on Friday and over the course of the weekend brought in the highest viewer numbers for a debut in the two years since the streamer launched in 2019....

Actor Ethan Hawke has just signed on for a cameo role in the Sony remake Total Recall. His role wasn’t revealed, although it is said to only be a very small part. The original 1990 Total Recall starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as Douglas Quaid, a construction worker with a normal life, who keeps having recurring dreams about being a secret agent on Mars. He discovers that these dreams were actually from his real past life, and his memory was erased....

Hasbro, a global play and entertainment company, and Machinima, the premiere digital video programmer of gamer and fandom-focused content, are releasing the first images from the second chapter of the upcoming digital series, Transformers: Titans Return. Continuing the massive worldwide interest in Transformers: Combiner Wars, Titans Return debuts this November worldwide on Verizon’s mobile entertainment destination, go90, except in China, where it airs on Sohu.com. The series features 10 episodes at approximately 11 minutes per episode....

As Jordan Peele’s summer horror pic Nope debuts in theaters on July 22, the set from the movie’s amusement park will join Universal Studios Hollywood’s Studio Tour. This will give park visitors a behind-the-scenes look at Jupiter’s Claim, the gold-rush-themed amusement park featured in Nope. The set will be added as a permanent fixture. The Jupiter’s Claim set was created by Emmy-nominated production designer Ruth DeJong, who collaborated with Peele for his 2019 film Us....

Actor/singer-songwriter Reeve Carney (Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark) has been cast as Jeff Buckley in the forthcoming Untitled Jeff Buckley Biopic, it was announced today by the filmmakers. To be directed by Jake Scott (Welcome to the Rileys), and written by Ryan Jaffe (story by, The Rocker), the filmmakers hold a robust rights package that includes the exclusive rights to Jeff’s music and personal archives, and is fully supported by Buckley’s mother, Mary Guibert, who serves as executive producer....

Will he or won’t he show up in the new Hawkeye series? That’s what many Marvel fans have been wondering about Vincent D’Onofrio, who played the supervillain Kingpin in the Daredevil series at Netflix. For three seasons, D’Onofrio starred opposite Charlie Cox as the titular superhero, and many fans have been hoping to see these characters appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They allege that St. Louis-based World Events, who currently holds rights to the television property, and World Events’ partner Kickstart Prods. have negotiated illegally with other producers during what was supposed to be an exclusive period....
