He is best known for his work in westerns, like The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance starring John Wayne. Ford came into the industry the way many other people do in Hollywood: by knowing somebody. Ford’s older brother, Francis Ford, had been performing in silent films in Hollywood and had formed his own production company at Universal....

Thomas Dekker (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) is in negotiations for the lead role in MGM’s remake of the 1980 musical Fame. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dekker will play Marco, a working-class kid with some gnarly acting chops who is competing with thousands of other hopefuls to get into and survive an elite New York public high school for the arts. Written by Allison Burnett, the revamp will be directed by Kevin Tancharoen, a director and choreographer who has worked in TV, on music videos and on tours for such singers as Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson....

The odds may not be for Topher Grace joining his former co-stars from That ’70s Show for its upcoming spinoff series. In development at Netflix, That ’90s Show will bring back Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp as Red and Kitty Forman, the parents of Grace’s Eric Forman. The spinoff will star the two as part of an ensemble cast also made up of new cast members, and there’s no indication at this time that any other stars of That ’70s Show will appear....

Fans of AMC’s hit zombie series The Walking Dead were left with a huge cliffhanger in the Season 6 finale, when the iconic villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) first surfaced, trapping several of our favorite characters, before picking one person to kill. Viewers weren’t shown who was actually killed, with fans offering plenty of theories, rumors and speculation as to who this victim may be. By the end of her quarantine period, she is so frayed by the time separated from both family and cast that she is unresponsive when a crew member comes to get her....

Director and screenwriter Ari Folman is probably most well known for his 2008 Oscar-nominated animated hybrid documentary film Waltz with Bashir. This year, he has recently released a beautiful animated film, Where is Anne Frank, which hit the screens in the US in March and is due to be in cinemas in the UK on August 12th. Anne Frank mentioned her imaginary friend Kitty in her diary, and in this animation, Kitty is brought to life in a new spin on her story....

In 1992, the American sports comedy White Men Can’t Jump grabbed audiences’ attention. The film, which was released by 20th Century Fox, followed Black and white basketball hustlers as they joined forces in order to double their chances of winning more money on the street courts and, eventually, in a basketball tournament. The soap premiered on Australian TV in 1985 and featured the goings-on of the families living on Ramsay Street, an ordinary road in a fictional borough of Melbourne. Ratings were initially unimpressive, but the series soon became wildly popular and proved an important export success, rapidly gaining a devoted following in the United Kingdom on its premiere in 1986....

NBC’s Superstore got many facets of retail right in its six-reason run, with the romance between America Ferrera’s Amy Sosa and Ben Feldman’s Jonah Simms being one of them. Justin Spitzer’s sitcom quickly became a well ranked comfort show for those who’ve worked in retail, mainly as it often showcased the experience through an incredibly realistic lens. But like most well-written and memorable comedies, the character dynamics within the show must be the story’s beating heart for it to stand the test of time....
