You can go to the center of the Earth in 3-D from your very own home this October. Journey to the Center of the Earth will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 28. Actor Murray Bartlett has heaped praise on the upcoming HBO adaptation of the hugely popular video game The Last of Us, declaring that the series contains “one of the best hours of television” of all time. When it comes to The Terminal List’s Rotten Tomatoes scores, there could not be a greater gulf between the current 39% approval rate from 56 critics and the 94% audience score that is the accumulation of over 3500 users. Taking into account only the 19 critic ratings from the site’s top critics make the dismal score even worse, dragging it down to just 26%, with the consensus being that the series is chaotic, nonsensical and “a fantasy of corruption and righteous violence....

The A24 drama The Whale is currently playing in theaters, where it has now surpassed $10 million at the box office. While obviously not Avatar: The Way of Water numbers, the total is remarkable, given that The Whale is a low-budget indie film released in the pandemic era. Arthouse films have significantly struggled in recent years due to the pandemic, even if franchise tentpoles are doing a better job. Certainly, with the film pulling in all profit at this point in addition to garnering award recognition, The Whale can be seen as a big success for A24....

The first season of The Witcher was a huge success for Netflix and gave good reason to cheer among fans of both the best-selling novels and the games on which the show was based.
