Variety reports that Vanguard Films picked up the screen rights to Circus Galacticus and The Oz Wars. These are two graphic novels that John H. Williams, president of Vanguard, bought at Comic-Con. Circus Galacticus follows a futuristic circus that contains “mythic creatures, fantasy aerialists and heroic guerrilla fighters.” This world is ruled by tyrants who’ve taken over Earth and have instituted the circus as the only possible form of entertainment. A live-action Voltron movie is now in development. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Rawson Marshall Thurber, who helmed the hit Netflix film Red Notice, has signed on to co-write and direct a live-action feature based on the popular Voltron franchise. After waiting for so long, Marvel’s Morbius has finally made his silver screen debut. The results have been more than a little disappointing to most, with it currently sitting at a 16% on Rotten Tomatoes. It hasn’t just been that the movie is the lowest-rated Spider-Man movie, but it’s described as boring, which in some cases is worse because a bad movie is at least memorable.
