Less than two weeks after its premiere on YouTube, the official trailer for The CW’s Batwoman TV series has acquired a tremendous amount of dislikes. As of this writing, the trailer carries over 335,000 dislikes compared to just 72,000 likes with 4.6 million overall views. Over 88,000 comments and counting are accumulating on the video as well, and the vast majority of them are extremely negative. “God these try not to cringe challenges are getting unreal,” reads the top comment....
Paul Dano is set to have a stellar 2022, recently starring in The Batman alongside Robert Pattinson, before he joins Michelle Williams in The Fabelmans later this year. The actor will play a fictionalized version of Steven Spielberg’s father in the film, as the movie will be the most personal from the longtime filmmaker in his career so far. Lionsgate, a leading global entertainment company, today announced the start of principal photography on the highly anticipated sequel to the worldwide blockbuster film The Hunger Games. Beginning today, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will shoot primarily in existing locations in and near Atlanta, Georgia. The film will subsequently be shot on location in the beaches and jungles of Hawaii before wrapping in late December, 2012. The Last of Us made quite an impact when it debuted on HBO and HBO Max last week. While the arrival of a new episode could have seen an almost inevitable drop in the high audience rating, that doesn’t seem to be the case as the show has continued to hold a pretty impressive 96% audience approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes and equally substantial 9.4/10 rating on IMdB. While there are a small number of viewers who are not on board with the series, logging complaints about there not being plenty scenes of zombie attacks, or still unhappy with casting, their 1 star ratings are not making too much difference to the show’s overall performance....
We haven’t heard about The Monster Squad remake in quite some time and now it seems the film has found a new home. Deadline New York is reporting that Platinum Dunes producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are producing the remake alongside Rob Cohen, who produced the original The Monster Squad film. This new report indicates that a writer is being sought for the film and it wasn’t clear if Mike Mitchell was still on board as the director, as we reported back in October....

Posting an image of Catherine Schell in character, Zombie revealed on Instagram that the veteran actress had stepped out of retirement just for this project. Clearly, the director of the Munsters reboot is a big fan of Schell, as he can’t seem to suppress his enthusiasm over the casting in the Instagram post reveal....

The Los Angeles Times reports that the rights to the Terminator franchise are again up for sale. Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek, who nabbed the science-fiction franchise in 2007 for $25 million and produced this year’s Terminator Salvation, are apparently looking to sell the rights “partially or outright as several companies owned by the duo work their way through bankruptcy.” Anderson and Kubicek own Halcyon Holding Group. They recently hired the financial advisory firm FTI Capital Advisors, if the bankruptcy court approves, to “evaluate strategic alternatives,” they said in a statement....
On 23 February 2010 principal photography began on GK Films’ romantic thriller The Tourist, directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. The Tourist is being produced by Academy Award-winner Graham King and will shoot in Paris and Venice. Sony Pictures will distribute the film. AMC announced today Talking Dead, the network’s first live after-show that serves as a platform for discussion for AMC’s series, The Walking Dead. The half-hour episodes are produced by Michael Davies’ Embassy Row and are hosted by Chris Hardwick (Nerdist; G4). Talking Dead premieres immediately following the encore presentation of The Walking Dead on Sunday, October 16. Then beginning on Friday, November 4th the series follows The Walking Dead’s encore presentation at 11 pm EST....
The Walking Dead season ten premiere is titled “Lines We Cross”. The episode begins in space with an old Soviet Union satellite hurtling to earth. The first card states “Training Day”. A grotesque walker with a piece of timber wrapped around its innards emerges from the ocean. It’s killed by Judith (Cailey Fleming), who returns to the beach and joins a battle phalanx led by Aaron (Ross Marquand). They have shields with spiked fronts linked together....
