In a bit of unexpected news, the classic card game Uno is being turned into a TV show. Mattel is currently developing The Uno Game Show with Propagate Content. While no network is currently attached, Let’s Make a Deal showrunner John Quinn is on board. Considering that Quinn has also produced hit game shows such as The Price is Right and Match Game, it seems like this won’t have a tough time finding a home....
Warner Bros. Studios is 85 this year and they are celebrating with special promotions each month. The first quarter of the year film lovers are treated with several Oscar award winning movies and Gangster movies on DVD, among which are: special editions of Bonnie and Clyde, The Departed, Goodfellas, and much more. The second quarter, two special men are honored: Frank Sinatra and Dirty Harry! All five Dirty Harry films will be included in an “Ultimate Collector’s Edition....

A Black Superman is coming. DC fans everywhere are angry that Henry Cavill will no longer be playing Superman. But this announcement from James Gunn should not have been surprising. He and co-head of DC Studios Peter Safran have essentially been scrapping the entire DCU in order to build a new one. Practically all the major players in the Justice League have either been scrapped, canceled, or reassigned in DC, and Cavill’s return as Superman in the post-credits scene of Black Adam was approved by studio execs before Gunn was put in charge....

The Dark Knight still has the opening weekend box office record… but by a bigger margin. According to Variety, The Dark Knight’s final opening weekend tally turned out to be $158.3 million, $3 million more than the initial estimate of $155.3 million. The $158.3 million haul was more than enough to break Spider-Man 3’s opening weekend record of $151.1 million last May. The records didn’t stop there as the entire weekend broke the three-day combined record of more than $250 million, with The Dark Knight’s total leading the way and Mamma Mia!...

For the past month, rumors have been flying about what form the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film might take, with Kevin Eastman claiming there would be a live-action film, and almost immediately Steve Murphy denying the rumor. Well, MTV talked to Peter Laird, the other co-creator of the Turtles, and current owner of the rights to the characters, and he revealed that they are actually close to having an announcement ready about a hybrid Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie....

The Walking Dead comic book creator Robert Kirkman is being sued by a former collaborator, who claims he is entitled to half of the profits from the hit AMC TV series which the comic book is based on. Michael Anthony (“Tony”) Moore is claiming he was tricked into signing over his interest in the comic book to Robert Kirkman before the TV deal with AMC was made.
