Park Seo-joon’s MCU debut in the upcoming 2023 sequel The Marvels follows a line of previously successful appearances in several Korean tv series and movies. His international profile was already on the rise after taking on roles in the internationally well-received 2019 movie Parasite and then again in the Korean romantic drama Itaewon Class. He’s shown to have brilliant range and clearly not afraid to take on new challenges. He’s played the narcissistic boss with a troubled past, a demon-hunting MMA fighter, and a somewhat goofy but lovable police academy trainee....

A new trailer has been released for season 2 of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. After the series was renewed for a second season, it was reported shortly thereafter that original star Emilio Estevez would not be coming back for season 2. Losing a lead star meant that a void needed to be filled for the new season, which was the cue for Josh Duhamel to step in as the replacement....

The Prestige is Christopher Nolan’s new thriller and also the second film about magicians that we’ve seen in the past few months. A lot of people compare it to The Illusionist, but in fact we have two very different films here. The Prestige tells the story of Robert (Hugh Jackman) and Alfred (Christian Bale), two friends who make their living as magicians in London. The two start to become competatitve and try and outdo each other with every new trick....

Ironically, this is the same timeframe when a sleeping sickness known as lethargic encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain, struck between 5 and 10 million people worldwide, killing half of them almost immediately....

According to Variety, The “Terminator” franchise is rising again, this time as a Fox TV series. Andy Vajna and Mario Kassar’s C2 Pictures, which produced the most recent “Terminator” feature, has pacted with Warner Bros. TV and scribe Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds) for the tentatively titled “The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” Skein will focus on robo-warrior Sarah Connor and her savior son John Connor. Fox has made a pilot commitment to the project, with a significant penalty attached....

The Walking Dead continues to shamble just a little bit closer to its eventual demise, as the program pulled in its lowest-ever rating for its latest season premiere. Debuting on Sunday night on AMC, season 10 of the hit zombie drama drew about 4 million viewers with a 1.4 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic. This sets the new series low for the long-running horror series, marking the lowest rating the show has ever gotten up to this point....

Synopsis: Brock Lovett is a treasure hunter looking for a famous diamond among the debris of the Titanic. He finds a sketch in a safebox in which a young woman is wearing the diamond on a necklace. After showing the drawing on a TV program, Rose Dawson, an old lady comes forward claiming to be the woman in the drawing....

The filmmaker behind an upcoming ghost story is switching over to adapt a comic book to the silver screen. The Los Angeles Times recently spoke with Hitman producer Adrian Askarieh, who revealed that Todd Lincoln (The Apparition) will be directing an adaptation of Danger Girl. Take a look at an excerpt from the interview below where Askarieh describes the comic: Askarieh also noted that they hope to have a big casting announcement in time for Comic-Con this July....

Since 1984, Robert Englund has been the man of everyone’s nightmares. Freddy Krueger is one of the most infamous faces in horror, accompanied by his trusty glove of knives. Krueger was brought to life by director Wes Craven, who allegedly saved New Line Cinema with the success of A Nightmare on Elm Street. According to SlashFilm, New Line had been struggling for some time and Nightmare went on to make $57 million at the box office....

With so much talk about delayed players and formats not being available for the marketplace, Toshiba Corp. released their HD-DVD HD-XA1 player in Japan on Friday. In an article from Techweb.com, Toshiba says this is “the first player to support the HD DVD format approved by the DVD Forum, the international standards association.” The cost of the player will be about $936 US which translates to roughly $110, 000 yen overseas....

It took a Tyler Perry comedy to knock two stoners off the DVD sales charts this week. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys was the top-selling DVD for the week ending January 18. The new Tyler Perry film beat out three other newcomers who all fared well on the charts also. My Best Friend’s Girl finished in third place on the sales charts, followed by the horror film Mirrors in fourth place and the Western Appaloosa in fifth place....

It seems that Paramount wants more of an elite commando unit on the big screen. Collider is reporting that a writer has been hired for a sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. We reported back in August that this sequel was being put into development at Paramount, but there has been nothing said on the project until now. While the site didn’t find out who the writer was, it seems a script was ordered and the studio is going ahead with their sequel plans....

The Good A solid film that delivers the feel good goods! The Bad There is a cheese factor about this film that is undeniable.Varsity Blues tells the tale of Mox (James Van Der Beek). He is someone who is happy to not be the center of attention. He is an underachiever who gets in over his head when his football team’s star player Lance (Paul Walker) gets injured. Suddenly, Mox has got to step up his game and enter the fray, and that is when his life gets even more complicated....

Walden Media has acquired the rights to Isabel Allende’s trilogy featuring young adventurer Alexander Cold, a series of books that marked the famed author’s first foray into young adult literature. City of the Beasts, the first book of the trilogy, will be produced by Barrie Osborne (The Lord of the Rings trilogy). David Rothenberg (Modoc) will adapt from Allende’s novel and co-produce. The books are published by HarperCollins, who partnered with Walden Media and Walt Disney Pictures on the successful launch of the Chronicles of Narnia film franchise....

The Good This movie was made for the Blu-ray experience. The Bad Sometimes there’s too much tech when clarity of presentation is all that’s needed.To try and describe this film or tell the story of it’s plot would be doing the Watchmen disservice. While Zack Snyder’s film might ultimately seem, like Apocalypse Now before it, a brilliant but flawed masterwork, one must give this movie credit for broaching ideas and topics that many other films wouldn’t have even come close to touching....

Jenna Ortega will play a new take on Wednesday Addams in Wednesday, a new series coming to Netflix this fall. Developed in collaboration with Tim Burton, who makes his series directorial debut by helming four of the show’s eight episodes, Wednesday serves as a bit of a reimagining of The Addams Family with a specific focus on Wednesday Addams. On Tuesday, Netflix and Vanity Fair unveiled an official image of the family as seen in the series....
