The Power of the Dog revolves around a rancher, Phil Burbank (Benedict Cumberbatch), who launches a psychological war against his brother’s new wife and her son. Phil believes that Rose (Kirsten Dunst) is out to exploit his brother, George (Jesse Plemons), for his land and wealth in the hopes of carving out a better lot for her son, Peter (Kodi Smit-McPhee)....

It’s no secret that Puss in Boots: The Last Wish has been making waves since its release on Dec. 21. The film depicts the most recent journey of the iconic character Puss in Boots (voiced by Antonio Banderas). It has been critically acclaimed and commercially successful. With a worldwide box office of $340 million and a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s no wonder the film was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 2023 Academy Awards....

The Rig is an upcoming thriller and David Macpherson’s debut as show creator and showrunner. The series is set to be released on Prime Video later this year and is expected to be a tense, mysterious, and somewhat claustrophobic tale told in six episodes. The A&E Network has decided to bring the best reality series ever made back to the air for a second season. That’s right! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Both Haim and Feldman have decided to do a second season of The Two Coreys. Ten more episodes of the program will tentatively premier this coming spring. Haim and Feldman were last seen feuding at the end of season 1. Executive producers on the show say that the two have not seen each other since....

Professional wrestling and Hollywood have and will cross over frequently, as wrestlers are there to entertain, perform, and pretend. With the build up of a wrestling match comes the trash talk between brightly colored and memorable characters - the heroes and villains of their respective pieces - and, yes, the inevitable brawl. At its simplest, your standard WWE match follows the exact same basic storyline of any current Marvel studio picture (and if you’re one Dave Bautista, doubly so)....

The Tracey Fragments, starring Best Actress Oscar-nominee Ellen Page (Juno) will open in New York City on May 9th, 2008, with a national release to follow. Prior to the theatrical opening, the film, directed by Bruce McDonald (Hard Core Logo) will have its New York premiere on March 14th as part of ‘Canadian Front’, the fifth edition of MoMA’s annual film series celebrating the best in Canadian cinema. Based on screenwriter Maureen Medved’s novel of the same name, The Tracey Fragments uses highly inventive and dynamic Mondrian-like split screens to tell the story of why 15-year-old Tracey Berkowitz (Page) is riding out a blizzard in the back of a city bus, naked except for the tattered curtain she’s wrapped in, and looking for her missing brother (whom she fears she has hypnotized)....

An epic new poster for Thor: Love and Thunder sees Chris Hemsworth lift Stormbreaker amid what can only be a chorus of shredding guitars. Taking a lot of inspiration from the awesome 80s, the promo celebrates the return of “The One and Only” Thor on what is surely one of the best posters in Marvel Cinematic Universe history. Released via the official Thor Twitter account, the poster has Thor sporting his sleeveless leather vest, t-shirt, and jeans, raising Stormbreaker to the cloudy, crisp blue skies, which are disturbed by a crackling lightning bolt down the middle....

Fans have come to expect nothing short of epic runtimes from the MCU, but recently they have been left a little disappointed. That is a trend that will seemingly continue with Thor: Love and Thunder, which has been reported to come in at just under two hours on some listings sites where advance tickets are going on sale. While this is still a hefty length and once upon a time would have been seen as bum-numbingly long, the last few years of Marvel releases have been littered with movies up to three hours long, with many coming in around the 140-150 minute mark....

Tom Felton and Alan Rickman starred in eight Harry Potter films together, presumably forming a close relationship as they continually traveled to the iconic Wizarding World. Luke Grimes has unexpectedly left the hit HBO vampire series True Blood, which goes into production on its seventh and final season next month. HBO confirmed the actor’s exit, and that they are re-casting the role of James for Season 7, in a brief statement. The actor joined the cast in Season 6 as the soulful vampire James, the new love interest of Deborah Ann Woll’s Jessica. There was speculation that his role in Universal Pictures’ Fifty Shades of Grey had something to do with his departure, but an unidentified source close to the actor reveals he asked to be let out of his contract after reading the first scripts for the season....

Universal appears to be close to signing a $42.5 million deal for worldwide distribution rights to Sacha Baron Cohen’s next project, Bruno, according to Variety. The film would be based on his fashion victim alter ego featured in Da Ali G Show. Posing as an Austrian TV reporter who’s notably gay, Cohen wormed his way into style hot spots like New York’s Fashion Week, getting people to say outrageous things about the fashion world, such as condemning the unstylish to concentration camps....

It’s a sad day in Hollywood, as veteran actress Valerie Harper has died after a decade-long battle with cancer. The sitcom actress is perhaps best known for portraying the classic TV character Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off Rhoda, later leading her very own sitcom series simply called Valerie. On Friday, Harper’s family confirmed her passing, although the exact cause of death wasn’t disclosed. The award-winning actress was 80 years old....

During Entertainment Weekly’s Game Changers panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Julie Plec revealed how her new Vampire Academy series is similar to a particular trilogy of books or tetralogy of movies. When she first read the books when they first came out, which was about 2007 or 2008, Plec at that moment saw it as this beautiful story about lifelong female friendship and the power of these two women reaching adulthood in a rarefied society....
