The View’s Whoopi Goldberg will be taking a two-week sabbatical from the talk show after she was suspended by ABC. Per CNN, the suspension comes after she remarked on the program that the Holocaust was “not about race.” This led to backlash against Goldberg, prompting the Sister Act star to issue a public apology. The network felt additional steps were still necessary to rectify the situation and it’s been announced that Goldberg is taking a mandatory leave of absence....

Queen Elizabeth II recently passed away aged 96 and was the second-longest reigning monarch in the history of the world. The high regard in which people across the globe held The Queen is reflected in the remarkable expressions of grief and public sympathy that followed the announcement by Buckingham Palace of her death. World leaders including Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau, and Emmanuel Macron have offered heartfelt tributes to Queen Elizabeth’s dignity, assuredness, and friendliness....

Sam Raimi and original producing partners Robert G. Tapert and Bruce Campbell (who also starred in the original franchise) are gearing up to remake their cult sensation The Evil Dead through their long standing Ghost House Pictures partnership. Sam Raimi and Robert G. Tapert were such instant fans of Federico Alvarez’s short film “Panic Attack!” that they set up a blind deal with the filmmaker and through that process have attached Federico Alvarez to write and direct the film....

Marvel Studios brought down the house at San Diego Comic-Con this year by giving us the first confirmed titles from their Phase 4 slate, which includes Falcon and Winter Soldier. We had heard plenty about the series before this year’s Hall H presentation, but now it has been officially confirmed, with both Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan set to reprise their roles. The series is confirmed to be arriving in fall 2020 on the Disney+ streaming service....

The opening scene of Warner Bros. I Am Legend is viewable online. The film stars Will Smith and arrives in conventional and IMAX theatres on December 14th. CLICK HERE to check out the trailer. The Good Packed with extras this DVD will make the sci-fi crowd very happy to have all the supplemental materials they could pack on here. The Bad This movie is just not that good and when you consider it’s predecessor it’s downright sad. The Fly II picks up where the other one left off in that the baby that Seth Brundle (Jeff Goldblum) gave his girlfriend (Geena Davis) in first movie, is born and is left to reek havoc on the world....

The Good It was nice seeing Jack Black in a more subdued role. The Bad Okay, this idea has been done how many times now? Iris (Kate Winslet) and Amanda (Cameron Diaz) are two women who have been very unlucky in love. In effort to cure their doldrums they both log onto a house swapping website and through this they end up switching houses. Well, both Iris and Amanda experience being fish out of water as Iris is now in America and Amanda is now in England....

The Jim Henson Co. has acquired rights to The Happytime Murders, a comedic film noir murder mystery that Brian Henson will direct for the company’s Henson Alternative banner, which is meant to entertain adult audiences. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story was written by Todd Berger from a story by Dee Austin Robertson and Berger, and takes place in a world where humans and puppets co-exist, with the puppets viewed as second-class citizens....

The Mandalorian season 3 trailer recently leaked online, and fans are going nuts. The trailer was uploaded just last week, but the video is definitely not official. It seems to have been filmed by an audience member during the trailer’s premiere at the Star Wars Celebration. Even though it looks like a pirated video made by a guy with a VHS camera, it hasn’t stopped everyone from getting all excited. The typical situation with these Celebration exclusive releases is that they are never released to the public....

Alexander Skarsgård cuts a bloody and brutal figure as a Viking on a quest for revenge in the trailer for The Northman. Coming from The Witch and The Lighthouse director Robert Eggers, The Northman is being called an epic revenge thriller, and the first footage certainly lives up to that tantalizing description, teasing all the mud, blood, sweat, and tears you would expect from a Viking tale told with Eggers’ unique vision....

Prepare for the battle between Light and Dark on DVD. The Seeker: The Dark is Rising is coming to DVD on March 18. The family/fantasy film will be priced at $29.98. Cover art or special features details were not released as of yet, but we will update this story when we have more information. The first film adaptation of Susan Cooper’s acclaimed “The Dark Is Rising Sequence” tells the story of Will Stanton, a boy whose everyday life is turned upside down when he learns that he is the last of the “Old Ones,” a group of immortal warriors who have dedicated their lives to fighting the forces of the Dark....

Sandra Bullock is returning to Netflix for a grittier drama tackling the role of Ruth Slater, a woman newly-released from prison in search of a sister whom she raised. Her back is up against the wall in a community who scorns her crime, The Unforgivable, murder. Check it out! The Netflix official synopsis reads, “Released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime, Ruth Slater (Sandra Bullock) re-enters a society that refuses to forgive her past....

While the show’s premise is intriguing, as all great survival narratives are, The Wilds has been praised more for its excellent character-building and thoughtful casting. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show has scored an impressive 92% with critics. Top critic Richard Roeper says in the Chicago Sun Times that the writing and “the deeply talented young cast members immerse us in the world so quickly and create an almost instant interest.” In an interview with Liz Shannon Miller of Collider, Streicher explains that she spent a lot of time developing the character’s “personalities and shapes and quirks,” some based on people she knew in reality....

When it comes to DC and Marvel, there is no need for an introduction. These comic industry giants have been going neck and neck with their productions nearly since the foundation of both companies. Moreover, for over half a century, the two have also been engaged in a rivalry of sorts that has even brought their own fans into confrontation that continues to this day, with feuds within their own comics and cartoonists moving from one company to the other....

Marvel Studios lineup for their Thunderbolts team was finally revealed at D23 Expo, and along with expected names like Yelena Belova and U.S. Agent, one of the more surprising additions to the newest MCU team was the return of Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen. Making her last appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp, Ghost was the antagonist of the movie but was not an inherently bad character, and that puts her in the same frame as the rest of the Thunderbolts team, who are mostly superheroes with slightly dubious pasts....

Timothy Olyphant could be gearing up to once again don the famous cowboy hat of beloved Justified character, Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, with the team behind the popular FX series reuniting to adapt another Elmore Leonard novel. Titled City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit, various Justified alums, including Graham Yost, Michael Dinner, Dave Andron, Chris Provenzano, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, VJ Boyd, and Taylor Elmore, will all return as executive producers for the FX adaptation....

Warner Bros. and IMAX Filmed Entertainment have released the first trailer and poster for To the Arctic 3D, which debuts in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D theaters nationwide April 20. This documentary, narrated by Meryl Streep, follows a polar bear trying to navigate the brutal winter landscape with her two seven month old cubs. Many fan favorite from That ’70s Show will be back to reprise their roles in That ’90s Show, the upcoming sequel series in the works at Netflix. That happens to include Tommy Chong who played Leo in several seasons of the original series. Chong previously confirmed his involvement in the new show, and in a new interview with Variety, he opened up about the experience of returning. “The minute Kitty knocked on the door and I opened the door and it was her, it could have been yesterday,” Chong said, suggesting that it felt like no time at all had passed since That ’70s Show ended in 2006....
