Two new photos have arrived from The Three Stooges, which hits theaters April 13. The photos, which give us our first look at Jane Lynch and Kate Upton, were included in a press release announcing both actresses will serve as Grand Marshalls of the famed NASCAR race the Daytona 500, which airs live Sunday, February 26 at 1 PM ET on Fox. The Stooges themselves, Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, and Chris Diamantopoulos will also be on hand to wave the green flag, which gets the race started....

Never Let Me Go director Mark Romanek has passed on directing The Wolverine, narrowing down the short list of directors to seven. We reported last month that 20th Century Fox had short-listed directors José Padilha, Doug Liman, Antoine Fuqua, Mark Romanek, Justin Lin, Gavin O’Connor, James Mangold, and commercials director Gary Shore. Vash is back and he’s got a new look! The popular 90s anime, Trigun, is getting a fresh new anime from both TOHO and Studio Orange. Over the weekend, the first trailer for Trigun Stampede made its grand debut at the Trigun panel at Anime Expo! This information comes from Animenewsnetwork. Trigun Stampede is directed by Kenji Mutou, who has worked with Studio Orange in previous shows such as a storyboard artist for Beastars and an episode director for Land of the Lustrous....

The Walking Dead season seven finale, The First Day of the Rest of Your Life, was both agonizing and thrilling. The episode was chock full of filler, dragging out the climax with painfully slow flashback sequences. The saving grace is that the long-awaited showdown between the Alexandrians and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) surpassed expectations. A twist was laughable. It’s hard to imagine Rick (Andrew Lincoln) being so gullible and naive, but at least our hero gets his gun back on with gusto....

Every year at Comic-Con, one of the big draws is always AMC’s The Walking Dead, which attracts 7,000 fans to its panel in Hall H for a glimpse at the new season. This year may be one of their biggest panels yet, with anticipation for Season 7 higher than ever, especially given the cliffhanger fans were left with in the Season 6 finale. The 2008 action thriller, Wanted, was an instant hit upon release. It was loosely based on the comic book of the same name from Mark Millar and J.G. Jones, a limited series that only ran for a total of six issues. Released in the same year as the first Iron Man, Wanted was a film that helped usher in a new age of comic book movies. A tone for larger-than-life, action-packed storytelling was set towards the end of the decade....

It seems Warner Bros. has been busy rearranging their calendar as of late. ERC Box Office is reporting that Warner has announced a slew of release dates, most notably a December 17, 2010 release date for Green Lantern. The site is also reporting that, while the title character hasn’t been cast, the studio is eyeing up Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) to direct the superhero film. The studio also announced a July 15, 2011 release date for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, which is the same date already chosen by Marvel for The Avengers....
