The CW Network today unveiled its first ever six-night primetime schedule along with the premiere dates for the 2018-2019 TV season. This announcement also reveals a new time period change for two of the network’s hit superhero shows, with Arrow moving from Wednesday nights to Monday nights at 8 PM, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow also moving to Monday nights, following Arrow at 9 PM. As always, The CW’s season will kick off with their coverage of the IHeartRadio Music Festival, airing over two nights Sunday, October 7 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT) and Monday, October 8 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT)....

Batman News is reporting an intriguing rumor that The Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy will play the main villain in the sequel, Dr. Hugo Strange. We first reported on Tom Hardy’s involvement in the project just over a month ago, although it wasn’t said what character he would be playing. We also reported a few weeks ago that Tom Hardy could play Detective Harvey Bullock in The Dark Knight Rises, although this new story would confirm earlier speculation that the actor is instead playing the villain....

Although the original series ended several years ago, the first Game of Thrones Official Fan Convention is set to get underway next month in Los Angeles. The event was announced last year, with the convention initially planned to take place in Las Vegas in February. However, the officially licensed event was pushed to December, after the first season of the HBO spinoff, House of the Dragon. Luckily, a few beloved members from the Targaryen-focused prequel will make their way to the fan convention....

It can be a hard watch at times; we wouldn’t blame bingers for taking a weekend off from the series. The cast of A24’s The Iron Claw has secured another big name for one of its leads. After it was announced that Zac Efron would be starring in the film, it’s now been revealed that Jeremy Allen White (Shameless, The Bear) has also boarded the cast. The movie is based on the real-life story of pro wrestling’s famous Von Erich family, most of whom met premature and tragic ends at the peak of their fame....

Back in November, we reported that AMC and Netflix are finalizing a deal to bring back The Killing for Season 3. This month, the psychological thriller series The Patient will premiere on FX on Hulu. The limited series stars The Office favorite Steve Carell in a much more serious role as a therapist who’s held captive by a dangerous serial killer (Domhnall Gleeson) who came to him seeking help for psychiatric issues. Unlike Carell in real life, his character, Alexander Strauss, also just so happens to be Jewish. In an era with increased scrutiny over representation when it comes to casting choices, there has been some criticism over casting non-Jewish actors in Jewish roles....

Last week, as part of its frequently underrated documentaries strand, Peacock released The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks. Based on the biography of the same name by Brooklyn College professor Jeanne Theoharis, the documentary recounts the life and times of Parks, one of the civil rights movement’s most important leaders. It looks like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson found one way to give back ahead of the holiday season. At a recent screening for Red Notice, the new Netflix movie starring The Rock alongside Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, Johnson provided everyone in attendance with free concessions to make the experience all the better. Despite being relatively new, HBO Max seems to be one platform that attracts numerous viewers. One key reason for its popularity is the novel and unique TV shows they seem to create. There have been some groundbreaking HBO series. Additionally, the different genres the platform has achieved is definitely a huge pro that brings in a lot of fans. From shows on important topics to that tackle taboos and comedy shows that gives the viewer a good laugh, HBO Max has some interesting series....
