Vanessa Hudges, Ashley Tisdale and Monique Coleman talk about this third and possibly final installment of the Disney film series Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has provided us with another round of interviews for High School Musical 3: Senior Year, which hits the shelves on DVD and Blu-ray on February 17. This time around it’s the three female leads of the cast, so take a look below at these interview segments with Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Monique Coleman....

Throughout multiple seasons of Stranger Things, veteran actor Matthew Modine portrayed villainous scientist, Dr. Martin Brenner. Modine’s illustrious career spans 40 years, and the actor gained popularity in the 1980s following his portrayals of Private Joker in Full Metal Jacket and as the titular character in Birdy. In an interview with The Times, though, Modine discussed how fame has changed for his young co-stars on the sci-fi series: Stranger Things premiered in 2016, and much of its central cast were children or teens....

Warner Bros. and Discovery have merged in a $43 billion deal, bringing every story, character, and production from the DC catalog into a new fold at Discovery. With this merger, Discovery now wants to refocus on DC’s most viable yet neglected property, Superman. According to Variety (via ScreenRant), Discovery is looking forward to changing the near-forgotten status of the character in DC’s live-action films. The new studio management structure is probably willing to properly utilize Superman, who is definitely an audience attraction, and turn it into a profit....

The premiere date for Damon Lindelof’s upcoming Watchmen series has reportedly been confirmed. The HBO series, which is based on the iconic source material from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, has been a pretty big mystery since it was announced. The show is set in a different timeline from the original source material and will build off of the characters that Moore and Gibbons brought to life. It takes place after the Watchmen have gone their separate ways and it has been labeled as a spiritual successor rather than a direct sequel....

FX’s highly-anticipated new vampire comedy series What We Do in the Shadows is coming to the cable network at the end of March. Based on the feature film of the same name from Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, What We Do in the Shadows is a documentary-style look into the daily (or rather, nightly) lives of four vampires who’ve “lived” together for hundreds of years. In Staten Island. The self-appointed leader of the group is “Nandor The Relentless” (Kayvan Novak), a great warrior and conqueror from the Ottoman Empire, who has taken the helm of the group despite many of his Old World tactics resulting in what some might politely refer to as bupkis....

Video game movies have long endured a less-than-stellar reputation. The genre tends to produce a lot of low-effort offerings which struggle to impress critics or make a huge dent at the box office. Even when video game movies are successful fans often complain that the makers strayed too far from the lore of the games they are based on. A similar outcry was heard online recently when the trailer released for the upcoming animated film The Super Mario Bros....

Following The CW’s pickups of four new shows, including The Flash and IZombie, the network has passed on the proposed Supernatural spin-off Supernatural: Bloodlines, while cancelling The Carrie Diaries and first-year shows Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People. Supernatural: Bloodlines was considered to have a strong chance of getting picked up, giving the nine-season pedigree of the flagship Supernatural series, which was renewed for Season 10 back in February. However, the back-door pilot, which aired as an episode of Supernatural on April 29, was poorly-received by the fans, with an Entertainment Weekly poll showing only one-third of viewers thought it should be given a series order....

Production recently began on Christopher Nolan’s highly-anticipated superhero saga The Dark Knight Rises, and even though we’re more than a year away from the July 20, 2012 release date, the viral campaign has already kicked in. Warner Bros. has launched an official website for The Dark Knight Rises, although it only contains a cryptic audio file. When deciphered, the voice is chanting “The fire rises,” which leads to a Twitter account named @TheFireRises....

It seems that film studio MGM’s financial peril could put two anticipated films at risk. According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, MGM recently held a conference call with its bondholders in a desperate plea for funding. It was said that the studio missed its financial earnings and was in need of $20 million to cover overhead and an additional $150 million to continue developing The Hobbit and the new untitled James Bond film, Bond 23....

Nickelodeon has revealed the first look at art and the voice cast for its upcoming series The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra (via Speakeasy), the anticipated follow-up to its animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, which will premiere next year. The cast includes: Janet Varney as Korra Kiernan Shipka as Jinora Daniel Dae Kim as Hiroshi Sato David Faustino as Mako Seychelle Gabriel as Asami Lance Henriksen as Lieutenant P.J. Byrne as Bolin J....

According to Variety, MGM CEO Harry Sloan has revealed the status concerning the studio’s five core movie franchises: James Bond, The Pink Panther, Thomas Crown, Rocky and The Hobbit. The trade reports that next year is likely to see MGM go into production with new installments of the first three. Steve Martin recently delivered a script for the latest Pink Panther, where his Inspector Clouseau teams up with equally bumbling detectives from other European countries to defeat a continent-wide crime wave....

Screen Gems is in talks for an American remake of Gareth Evans’ Indonesian action-thriller The Raid, which won the Toronto Film Festival’s Midnight Madness audience award. Sony Pictures has already secured worldwide distribution rights to The Raid after its screening at the Cannes Film Festival. Screen Gems is a division of Sony Pictures, which had a right of refusal for a remake with XYZ Films, which produced The Raid. It is said that director Gareth Evans was offered to direct the remake, although he declined the offer....

Spoiler Warning: The Umbrella Academy Season 3​​​​​​ The Umbrella Academy, a Netflix Original television show based on a Dark Horse Comics series of the same name, has been a delightfully quirky romp since its first season dropped in 2019. There have been ups and downs (though, admittedly, there have been mostly downs) for the superpowered Hargreeves family, and audiences have enjoyed the character’s tribulations every step of the way. The storylines in The Umbrella Academy, though peculiar and oftentimes nonsensical, are complimented by emotionally complex narratives that are able to make audiences forget about even the most ridiculous plotlines....

Lew Temple of The Walking Dead is shedding light on some of his character’s axed storylines, revealing that the fan favorite was originally intended to be a serial killer. In the premiere of The Walking Dead’s third season, Temple made his debut on the series as Axel, a mustachioed prisoner with a southern drawl. Although he outlived all of the other inmates, Axel would ultimately meet his end later that season when the Governor shot him in the head with a sniper rifle....

No matter how many viewers abandon a show during its run, there is always something about a series finale that draws them back to see how everything ends. That is certainly true of The Walking Dead, which logged its highest audience in two years for its final episode on Sunday. Although the series will continue through a number of spin-offs, there were plenty of endings and resolutions to be found in the final outing of the iconic show for those who turned up to the party....

The Good Regardless of how sentimental this may seem it really is a great show. The Bad No special features of any kind. The Waltons: The Complete Third Season took some interesting yet necessary plot turns with the characters. First of all, John-Boy enters college which puts Jason in charge of following in his footsteps. The family as a whole doesn’t change that much, rather it is John-Boy’s change of place that seems to have the most effect on everyone....

The second season of The Witcher is almost upon us, and as Netflix prepares to release the new episodes the platform is once again putting out some “Witchmas” treats for fans, the first of which arrived today as a clip of a new look at Ciri’s training at Kaer Morhen. The clip, chosen by fans on a social media poll by The Law of Surprise, was shared on The Witcher’s official Twitter account, and revealed that Ciri is about to take a fair share of beatings in the upcoming return of the Henry Cavill-led fantasy series which returns at the end of the week....
