Actors Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel have joined the cast of Trance for director Danny Boyle. The actors join James McAvoy in the primary lead roles of this drama, which centers on an art heist gone awry. James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel will portray the partners who concoct this elaborate scheme, while Rosario Dawson plays a woman who has an unusual relationship with both men. We reported earlier this month that Colin Firth was a contender for one of the lead roles, with Scarlett Johansson up for the main female role....

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have announced that they are composing the music for HBO’s upcoming Watchmen series. The two members of Nine Inch Nails have been spending a lot of their time completing score work for various movies and documentaries over the years, starting with David Fincher’s 2010 movie The Social Network, which earned the duo an Academy Award and Golden Globe. Reznor revealed that he and Ross were “happy and excited” to be a part of the new series....

With his final show on December 8 looming on the horizon, The Daily Show host Trevor Noah is opening up about his surprise decision to leave the late-night talk show. Taking a few moments at the beginning of September 29’s show, Noah thanked the audience and shared that his time hosting The Daily Show was coming to an end. “It’s been absolutely amazing, and I found myself thinking about everything we’ve gone through—the Trump presidency, the pandemic, more pandemic—and I realized that after the seven years, my time is up,” an emotional Noah said....

Uwe Boll just can’t stay out of the headllines. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the German director has filed suit in Los Angeles County Court against actor Billy Zane, over a monetary dispute regarding the film BloodRayne, which Boll directed and Zane starred in. Boll is claiming he is owed at least $700,000 from the actor because apparently Zane was the one who suggested that Boll distribute the film through Romar Entertainment....

There were many who had something negative to say when it was announced that HBO Max’s Velma series would reimagine Velma Dinkley as South Asian, and Mindy Kaling is clapping back with the first teaser tariler for the show. Featuring Kaling as the voice of the titular brainiac, Velma is the first adult animated series in the Scooby-Doo franchise, putting Velma into more extreme situations than she faced in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?...

Viola Davis has landed two feature roles in Gavin Hood’s Ender’s Game and Richard LaGravenese’s Beautiful Creatures. Ender’s Game follows a genius strategist recruited by the government to help destroy an insect-like alien race. The actress will play a military psychologist who oversees the emotional welfare of young trainees. She also helps design the games that test their skills and resilience. Gavin Hood also wrote the script for the Orson Scott Card’s novel adaptation....

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Home Video announced on Monday that it will release movies and other content on the Universal Media Disc, making it the sixth and last of the major studios to release software for Sony’s PlayStation Portable multimedia player. Sony has registered sales of more than 2.2 million PSP hardware units in the U.S. since its March launch. The studio will release eight movies and one TV show on the 1....

It seems that Wesley Snipes could be donning the black trench coat and sword once again. Arrow In the Head recently spoke with Snipes at the junket for his upcoming film Brooklyn’s Finest, and Snipes said that he might possibly come back for a fourth Blade film. Snipes didn’t mention whether or not there is an actual script out there yet, or if someone is working on it, so it seems this is in the very early stages of development....

Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story was the second feature-length film to adapt the 1957 stage musical of the same name. While taking place in the 50s, West Side Story (2021) was a musical romantic drama that brought a Romeo & Juliet-esque story to a modern audience.
