Hollywood superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has revealed another behind-the-scenes look at his oddly mysterious Christmas movie, Red One. Taking to his official Instagram account, Johnson shared several images of his character, whose name is Callum Drift and appears to be an action man who works for Santa Claus, alongside a caption in which the actor compares Red One to the likes of Miracle on 34th Street, Jumanji, and Harry Potter....

When The Rocky Horror Picture Show debuted on big screens in 1975, it quickly became a cult hit and remains incredibly iconic today. Theaters across the country still do midnight showings of the film, and moviegoers can bring a whole treasure trove of props to interact with the movie, just as audiences did in 75. The Weinstein Company and First Look Studios have jointly acquired worldwide rights to Plum Pictures’ romantic comedy Dedication directed by Justin Theroux, which made its worldwide debut at the Sundance Film Festival. TWC and First Look will partner on the worldwide release of the film, both domestically and internationally, with Weinstein taking the lead on the US theatrical campaign on behalf of the two companies. The announcement was made by Harvey Weinstein, co-chairman of TWC, First Look Studios CEO Henry Winterstern, and Plum Pictures partners Celine Rattray, Galt Niederhoffer and Daniela Taplin Lundberg....

Henry Cavill has promised that his oft-grunting monster hunter Geralt of Rivia will be a lot more vocal come The Witcher season 2, with the actor explaining that he did not want the character to become too one-note. So, instead of continuing his stoic silence and penchant for foul language, Geralt will emerge as a more intellectual presence, thus reflecting the fact he has been alive for 70-plus years. The first season of Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher introduced audiences to Man of Steel star Henry Cavill as Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts....

There is a reason why directors make sure there are multiple takes for each scene of a film. When it comes to filmmaking, there are enormous amounts of factors that have to be aligned including lighting, performances, and sound. At the same time, directors need to get coverage of the scene from different angles. When it comes to performances, actors and directors will try different things out when it comes to line delivery....

The voice of Michelangelo on the highly-popular animated series takes a look back on the 25th anniversary of this creation. Townsend Coleman was a DJ and radio personality in Cleveland, Ohio for many years, when he decided it was time to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor, and moved his family to Hollywood in 1984. Due to his radio experience, he found more work as a voice actor and in 1987 he took on the voice of a character that would be part of a cultural phenomena in the 80s and 90s: the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series....

Paramount and Dreamworks announced today that Transformers 3 was a go. According to Variety, the studios have given the potential blockbuster a release date of July 1st, 2011. This is the first official word on Transformers 3. At this time, it could not be confirmed that either director Michael Bay or stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox would return to the franchise. At this early date, Transformers 3 has no direct competition for the July 4th weekend, 2011....

Uncharted fans need to lower their expectations for the hit video games big-screen adaptation. A-list leads Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg elicit a few chuckles with their banter. But they never fully inhabit the beloved personalities of the swashbuckling fortune hunters. Uncharted has a rote and uninspired plot that struggled to hold my attention. The film comes across as an adventure by checklist. Ticking boxes for parkour, puzzles, and gunplay as a weak nod to the much better source material....

Universal Pictures announced today that their 100th Anniversary logo will make its debut in theaters with Dr. Seuss’ the Lorax, which opens nationwide March 2. AMC’s The Walking Dead will be around for at least three more years. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was the one to deliver the good news about the hit horror series. Season 10 is all set to premiere in a few weeks and fans are not looking forward to saying good bye to Danai Gurira’s Michonne character. The actress revealed earlier this year that season 10 will be her last and she recently admitted it was a lot harder to talk about then she initially anticipated....

Rick Grimes and his band of survivors had better be prepared for the fight of their lives. It seems that Clint Eastwood’s new film will be going up against some horror heavyweights this October. eRc Box Office is reporting that Warner Bros. has set an October 22 release date for Eastwood’s latest film Hereafter. The film, which stars Matt Damon and Bryce Dallas Howard, will be stepping in the middle of an already-heated horror feud, with Saw VII 3D and Paranormal Activity 2 already slated for release on the same date....

Star Wars Celebration has been raging all weekend long, bringing fans of this galaxy far, far away some big reveals over the last few days. But things are starting to wind down, and they may have saved the best for last. The passing of Nichelle Nichols has left many in mourning, and along with fans across the world, this includes many of her friends and fellow Star Trek community members. When Nichols was starring as Lieutenant Uhura in the original Star Trek series, she was helping to pave the way for the future as one of the first Black women to be featured in a major role in a television series. Many of today’s working women in show business have personally credited Nichols for giving them inspiration....
