Tommy Lee Jones is set to topline the feature film version of James Lee Burke’s novel In the Electric Mist with Confederate Dead, adapted by Mary Olson-Kromolowski and Jerzy Kromolowski. Production Weekly reports that Jones will portray Cajun detective Dave Robicheaux, previously played by Alec Baldwin in Heaven’s Prisoners. Directing is French filmmaker Bertrand Tavernier, who’s scheduled to begin production in April, with locations around Louisiana. New Iberia Lt. According to Variety, Vin Diesel is attached to star in and produce an untitled action-thriller from Unknown scribes Oliver Butcher and Stephen Cornwell. The logline is under wraps, but project is based on a pitch from the writers. Vin Diesel just came off Universal’s Fast Five, which has grossed over $600 million worldwide. He is currently prepping another Riddick movie, in which he’ll reprise the role of the Pitch Black antihero that helped propel him to stardom....
The investigation into Moses J. Moseley’s death has taken a big turn. Weeks ago, it was reported that the Walking Dead actor was found dead in his car near a freeway in Stockbridge, Georgia. He had died from a single gunshot wound and cops were initially investigating the death as a possible suicide as the gun was in Moseley’s lap and all the car doors were locked. However, Moseley’s family had suspected murder from the start, calling for cops to investigate the possibility thoroughly....

During the Red Notice premiere in Los Angeles last night, Dwayne Johnson spoke of the tragedy that took cinematographer Halyna Hutchins’ life and wounded director Joel Souza. “First of all, I was heartbroken. We lost a life. My heart goes out to her family and everybody on set.
