Early in 2016, The Walking Dead on AMC’s sixth season ended with arguably its greatest episode, as Jeffrey Dean Morgan brought Negan to screens in the last ten minutes of an episode that cranked the tension up to ten and then just kept going up the scale. The episode ended with the immortal line, “You can breathe. You can blink. You can cry. Hell, you’re all gonna be doing that,” as Negan lifted Lucille and battered one of Rick’s group to death....

Surfing tidal waves, creating nanobots, or locating Frankenstein’s brain. Possibly finding a dodo bird, painting a continent, or driving their sister insane. These were all possible ideas that were brainstormed by the brothers in Phineas and Ferb in the theme song of their hit animated series that ran from February 2008 to June 2015. According to the actor behind James Gordon, the production draft of the screenplay does not include the ending. Director Christopher Nolan personally told the actor how this trilogy will come to it’s climax, so that it does not leak out online. Gary Oldman also revealed that his James Gordon character will have a lot of interaction with Tom Hardy’s Bane....

John Schneider stars as Daniel Wilder, a fisherman in Full Moon Bay. He and all the other fishermen have not caught any fish in weeks. The entire fishing industry of the town is fading fast. All the fish are gone. Little do they know that Hamilton Lux (Armande Assante) is contaminating the water to kill the fishing industry and force the townsfolk to sell their property to him so he can develop a large condo development on the beautiful bay....

Candice Patton has signed on to star as Iris West in The CW pilot The Flash, a spin-off of their hit series Arrow. The news comes just days after the network officially ordered the pilot. The project was initially set to have a back-door pilot, which would air as a Season 2 episode of Arrow, before the network decided to go with a traditional pilot in November. Iris West is the fast-talking best friend of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), who, in the DC Comics, eventually became his wife, although it isn’t known if they are taking that same route in the series....

Warner Bros. Pictures, apparently feeling left out for not choosing any release dates this week, has scheduled The Great Gatsby to open in theaters December 25, 2012. As of now, The Great Gatsby is going up against Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained next Christmas. This puts actor Leonardo DiCaprio in the rare position of opening two movies against each other, since he stars in both The Great Gatsby and Django Unchained...

The Walking Dead ends all out war predictably and with a whimper. That said, there was a big surprise to the season eight finale that gives us hope. Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Rick (Andrew Lincoln) have a climactic showdown, sort of. Eugene (Josh McDermitt) proves that he was always a team player. Dwight (Austin Amelio) gets his comeuppance, but Maggie’s (Lauren Cohan) revenge falls woefully short. And in the biggest development, Morgan (Lennie James) decides it’s time to go solo....

Director Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming drama, The Whale, will reintroduce beloved actor Brendan Fraser, which is something that Fraser himself really wanted to do. Speaking with Vanity Fair, Fraser discussed the prospect of playing such a different character in The Whale from what he and audiences are used to seeing, which made The Mummy star the perfect actor for the role. The Whale will find Brendan Fraser playing a character far “outside of himself,” which is exactly why Aronofsky wanted him in the first place....

ThinkFilm has picked up North American rights to My Brother Is an Only Child, according to Variety. A March release is planned for Daniele Luchetti’s film where in Italy, it has grossed $8.5 million. It reunites Luchetti with longtime collaborators Sandro Petraglia and Stefano Rulli, best known as screenwriters of The Best of Youth. Set in a small Italian town in the 1960s and ’70s, My Brother Is an Only Child tells the story of two brothers who want to change the world in different ways....

The Sidney Lumet thriller Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead has just been picked up by ThinkFilm. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke, Albert Finney and Marisa Tomei star in the film. The movie revolves around a drug addict who plans to rob a jewelry store with his brother. Thing is, the store just happens to be owned by their parents. Of course the plan is going to go horribly wrong....
