Lionsgate has announced the casting of two more tributes in The Hunger Games with Ashton Moio and Kara Petersen portraying the unnamed District 6 tributes. Take a look at these new tributes below. Both actors have backgrounds in stunt work, with Ashton Moio performing stunts in the upcoming Project X, and Kara Petersen doing stunt work for Super 8. This will be Kara Petersen’s acting debut, although Ashton Moio recently appeared in small roles in Let Me In and the ABC TV series No Ordinary Family....

AMC and Netflix are finalizing a deal to bring back The Killing for a third season, four months after the network cancelled the controversial series. Just over a month after The Killing fans finally learned who killed Rosie Larson this summer, AMC cancelled the show, while the producers at Fox Television Studios revealed they were looking for a new home. Back in August, we reported that Netflix and DirecTV had expressed interest in resurrecting the series....

IESB has learned that a sequel to The Lost Boys will start shooting sometime in the first quarter of 2007 in San Diego, CA. It is slated for a direct to DVD release with no theatrical plans at this time. The site suggests that this continues WB’s plans to make low budget DTV sequels from their extensive film library. While very little is known about the plot or about who will be directing or even who has been cast in the film, it is known that the story will revolve around surfing vampires in Southern California....

Netflix has just released the first real glimpse into The Punisher series and it has the most fitting soundtrack, possibly ever, with the infamous thrash-defining metal song “One”, by none other than the monster that is Metallica. “One” is set as the brooding background music and taking to the forefront in the new awesomely bloody trailer. Not only does “One” fit the bill sonically, turning Lars Ulrich’s snare fills into machine gun fire, but it also has new meaning when looking into the way that Frank Castle is portrayed in the new Netflix series and the whole story behind the new adaptation being spun off from the Daredevil series....

Summit Entertainment has picked up the distribution rights to the forthcoming novel This Dark Endeavor: The Apprenticeship of Victor Frankenstein by Kenneth Oppel. The book is a prequel to the original Frankenstein novel by Mary Shelley. Here’s the plot description of the book, which will be published this summer by Simon & Schuster: Karen Rosenfelt, producer of all the Twilight movies for Summit, will produce this upcoming adaptation. No production schedule was released at this time....

Variety reports Tom Cruise is the new take on the 1957 Western 3:10 to Yuma, which James Mangold will direct this summer, with Cathy Konrad producing for Columbia Pictures. Cruise has not yet had a meeting with Mangold. The actor became interested in the picture after Stuart Beattie, who penned the Cruise-Jamie Foxx starrer Collateral, turned in a rewrite of the script by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas. Word is that Cruise is interested in playing the villain, who is being brought to justice by a lone lawman....

The MCU has seen some huge stars passing through its doors over the last decade, making it more than just another set of comic book movies. While there are some actors, actresses and directors who completely refuse to entertain being part of the biggest franchise in history in any way, including the likes of Jodie Foster and Martin Scorsese, who have both vocally spoken against Marvel Studios for “taking over theater” in the way they have, others are always open to offering their presence to a future Marvel project....

The high profits continue to roll in for Top Gun: Maverick. The film has officially garnered more than $1 billion at the global box office, putting it above Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which earned $943 million, as the year’s highest-grossing movie. True Detective season 3 finally has a premiere date. HBO has been a bit quiet on specific details when it comes to the upcoming season of the acclaimed anthology crime drama. Previously, a trailer revealed that the series was set to return in January, but the network still remained mum in regards to when, specifically, we’ll be able to see if the show will return to its former glory. Now, it’s been revealed that Sunday, January 13, 2019, is the date people need to mark down on their calendars....

There are no immediate plans for the Breaking Bad universe to live on after the upcoming series finale of Better Call Saul, but not all hope is lost for fans still wanting to see more of this world. After creating Breaking Bad, which ran for five seasons on AMC, Vince Gilligan co-created the spinoff series Better Call Saul with Peter Gould. Both Gilligan and Gould have plans to pursue separate projects at this time with no connection whatsoever to Breaking Bad....
