The Walking Dead included a Breaking Bad Easter egg on its newest episode, but unless you were looking for it, you probably missed it. In the episode, the backstory was provided for Alpha, the leader of the sinister new group of flesh-wearing marauders called the Whisperers. As revealed in the show, Alpha used to sing a certain song with her husband Frank to their daughter, Lydia. Appropriately, the song was “Lydia, the Tattooed Lady....

Well, it looks like Warner Bros. is keeping it’s promise to support both the HD and Blu-ray DVD formats. Warner Home Video (WHV), which distributes the largest film library of any studio, today announced that it will launch its first wave of titles on Blu-ray Disc. On August 1, WHV will release four titles - Training Day; Good Night, And Good Luck.; Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang; and Rumor Has It… - on the Blu-ray format to support the initial roll out of Blu-ray players in North America....

Warner Bros. Pictures is planning to re-release the award-winning crime drama The Departed on Friday, January 26, 2006, in more than 1,300 theatres nationwide. The announcement was made by Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures. Directed by Martin Scorsese, The Departed originally opened domestically on October 6, 2006, taking the top spot at the box office in its first two weeks in release and receiving widespread critical acclaim....

The 1987 Best Picture Oscar winner will be released in a new four-disc set. The release will include the “television version” which was a 218-minute affair shown in four separate episodes. Director Bernardo Bertolucci and editor Gabriella Cristiani went back and shaved it down to the 165-minute theatrical version afterwards....
