Whether they start out as enemies and gradually develop passionate feelings for one another, or they exhibit dazzling sexual tension from the get-go, the small screen loves preying on the emotions of its devoted viewers and dangling the proverbial carrot by teasing romantic relationships with its leads....

Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland has described the upcoming Marvel adventure as “three generations coming together,” but insists that previous Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are not involved. Tommy Lee Jones has joined the cast of Emperor for director Burr Steers and Exclusive Media Group. We reported earlier this month that Matthew Fox joined the cast. The project is inspired by the true events surrounding Japan’s surrender which ended World War II. Tommy Lee Jones will play General Douglas MacArthur, who was deemed the de facto leader of Japan after their surrender. The story centers on MacArthur, who brings in a Japanese expert, General Bonner Fellers (Matthew Fox) to decide whether Emperor Hirohito should be tried and executed as a war criminal....

FX has unveiled a new trailer for their highly-anticipated X-Men TV series, Legion, which also reveals that the show will premiere February 2017.This trailer gives us another look at the troubled David Haller, a powerful mutant played by Dan Stevens. We learned in the last trailer that David’s mutant powers were triggered by kissing a girl, but we see in this footage that he may be the most powerful mutant of them all....

The 25-year-old Connecticut native discusses giving over control of his life to millions of viewers for Seth Green’s new Internet reality program Ever wonder what it would be like to control the life of someone you watched on TV? Well, now you can, thanks to your friends at Robot Chicken and The Bachelor/The Bachelorette, with a new interactive Internet reality series called ControlTV. Presented by Ford and Sprint, ControlTV is executive produced by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich (Robot Chicken), and a veteran creative team that includes Richard Saperstein (former president of Dimension Films), Ken Fuchs (The Bachelor and The Bachelorette), commercial director Steve Kessler, and interactive technology expert Craig Ullman....

In Turner Classic Movies’ (TCM) new documentary Spielberg on Spielberg, premiering Monday, July 9, at 8 p.m. (ET)/9 p.m. (PT), two-time Best Director Oscar winner Steven Spielberg discusses his meteoric rise to success in Hollywood, as well as the motion pictures that took him there. The 90-minute special, which features exclusive and detailed interviews with arguably the most popular and influential director of his time, is produced by Richard Schickel, who created similar programs on Woody Allen and Martin Scorsese....

ABC Family has given the green light to two comedy pilots: the first one stars Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence and the other one comes from Boy Meets World creator Michael Jacobs, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In the untitled Hart-Lawrence multicamera project, the Sabrina, the Teenage Witch star will play Hailey, a political dynasty wild child-turned-politician who takes in her teenage niece and pre-adolescent nephew when her sister goes to prison and her brother-in-law flees....

It seems that one of Dakota Fanning’s more controversial films will be screened in Los Angeles alongside another sure-to-be controversial film. Alter Ego Cinemas sent out a release about an October 16 screening of the new film Warning!!! Pedophile Released that seems to indicate Hounddog will be screened there as well. We’ll keep you posted on this story as soon as we have more information. We’ve just received word that a widely unseen Dakota Fanning movie will be released theatrically next month....

In response to consumer demand, Warner Bros. Entertainment will release its high-definition DVD titles exclusively in the Blu-ray disc format beginning later this year, it was announced by Barry Meyer, Chairman & CEO, Warner Bros. and Kevin Tsujihara, President, Warner Bros.
