Lionsgate, a leading global entertainment company, is pleased to announce the start of production on Jee-woon Kim’s The Last Stand, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The announcement was made by the President of Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group Joe Drake, and President of Production Michael Paseornek. The shoot, which begins on October 17, 2011, will take place across locations in New Mexico and Nevada. Rounding out the cast are Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights), Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland), Luis Guzmán (Carlito’s Way, Boogie Nights), Rodrigo Santoro (Che, I Love You Phillip Morris), Johnny Knoxville (The Jackass films), Jaimie Alexander (Thor), Eduardo Noriega (Open Your Eyes), Peter Stormare (Fargo, The Big Lebowski) and Harry Dean Stanton (Alien, The Green Mile)....

When it comes to Hilary Swank possibly reprising her role from The Next Karate Kid for an appearance in Cobra Kai, fans have long been asking, “Will she or won’t she?” While the Cobra Kai creators have expressed their desire to have Swank’s Julie Pierce show up at some point in the series, it’s not something that has yet materialized five seasons into the show. Perhaps we could see this happen in a sixth season on Netflix, but even if the Cobra Kai team is interested in Julie’s return, Swank would still have to agree....

While Ryan and Marissa may have been the initial romantic draw, Seth and Summer’s growing relationship kept The O.C. developing a more fun dynamic between the resident nerd and his crush on the popular girl. Seth and Summer won the audience’s hearts as their unexpected connection continued to grow, and as different as they may have been, they also brought out the best in each other....

After over a thousand years of roaming the Earth, The Originals finally gave the Mikaelson siblings conclusions as the series ended. The Sleep Experiment is an excellent horror film that dives deep into the psychological damage caused by a top-secret government experiment. Based on Creepypasta’s The Russian Sleep Experiment, writer/director John Farrelly delivers his first feature film that exposes the horrors of what humanity is capable of when pushed to the brink. The film begins with a slow burn, however, as time passes on and the test subjects begin to hallucinate, the plot transitions into the psychological thriller realm before escalating into full physical horror in the final act....

The Social Network is, without question, one of the most memorable films in the past 20 years. It features a pitch-perfect script from Aaron Sorkin, brilliant cinematography, and an unforgettable score. David Fincher leads the way with his precise direction, and the performances were top-notch. Jesse Eisenberg takes the lead role as a fictional version of billionaire Mark Zuckerberg. The film follows his journey from college student to tech icon. Along the way, he encounters a lot of drama, including the destruction of his friendship with Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield)....

Now that The Walking Dead is over and Glenn has been dead for years, we can finally admit that Negan is an awesome character… right? There have been plenty of big bads that the group has had to go toe-to-toe with over the 11 seasons it aired, but the most-talked-about villain was Negan. There’s no doubt about it; the influence he made on the show from his first appearance is still talked about to this day....

The Brenaissance will take a major step forward with The Whale, as beloved actor Brendan Fraser takes the lead in the latest drama from award-winning director Darren Aronofsky. The Whale has now been seen by a lucky few at the 79th Venice International Film Festival, and critics have been quick to praise Fraser for what many are calling his career-best performance. We shall begin with Jane Crowther from Games Radar, who awarded The Whale a promising 4/5 and praised Aronofsky’s portrayal of weighty themes before calling the role one that Fraser has “been waiting for his whole career....

Today we have word that The CW series is bringing back Adam Rose to reprise his guest-starring role from Season 8 as Adam Bass, to help the brothers in their war against the Nazi leader. I try not to be cynical about tv shows, particularly sitcoms. I know how hard it is to try to write a funny, relevant and interesting television show. I also know that it takes a perfect storm of talent, writing and zeitgeist to capture these elements for an audience. Sadly, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne fails to do so. Tyler Perry has achieved fame primarily through his one man show and subsequent films based on his character of Madea, an older woman who is more than a little off-balanced....

Cross-overs. They’ve been a part of superhero comics almost since the very beginning. It’s hard to imagine a Marvel Universe that didn’t include Marvel Team-Up, which usually featured Spider-Man teaming up with one of any number of other Marvel heroes. Similarly, where would DC Comics be without World’s Finest or Brave and the Bold? Books like those, and various superhero team titles, like Justice League of America and The Avengers are what helped the various publishers create superhero universes - instead of a series of stand-alone titles....

AMC brought their hit series The Walking Dead back to San Diego Comic-Con to promote the upcoming Season 9 of the show, which debuts this fall. Fans of the franchise have been a bit disappointed by the last few seasons, but the brand-new trailer for Season 9 might bring some of those skeptics back. Right away, the time jump is teased and the return of Jon Bernthal’s Shane Walsh is hinted at....

The Walking Dead spin-off now has an official title. Horror legend Greg Nicotero revealed the news on social media, while the official Twitter account for the upcoming series released a new teaser. The name of the new show is officially titled The Walking Dead: World Beyond and it will premiere in spring 2020. Nicotero says, “I’m a consulting producer (lots of juggling this year),” on the project, which should be very exciting for fans of the original hit AMC horror series....
