Yesterday we reported that director David O. Russell has left the Sony Pictures video game adaptation Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Today, new details about the departure have come to light, which indicate that David O. Russell’s screenplay was partially to blame. It is said that his screenplay was, “too long and ambitious” for Sony’s liking. David O. Russell also included a number of characters which aren’t featured in the video game. We got a hint at these inclusions when the director referred to “family” elements of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, even though the video game only focuses on one man, Nathan Drake....

The Weinstein Company has released the first trailer for its upcoming documentary Undefeated, which debuts in theaters February 10. The newest entry in Universal’s hugely successful DVD Originals offerings, The Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian commenced principal photography in Capetown, South Africa on October 1, 2007. Universal Studios Home Entertainment Family Productions is co-producing with Film Afrika and ApolloMovie. Universal Studios Home Entertainment is distributing the all-new epic adventure, which expands the line’s presence into the live-action adventure arena for the first time. The film is slated for release on DVD in 2008....

The Kingpin is back, and this time, he’s looking more comic-accurate than ever before. Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio will reprise the role of Wilson Fisk AKA The Kingpin following his appearance in Hawkeye, with these images taken from the set of the upcoming Disney+ series, Echo. Sporting a white jacket and waistcoat and black shirt, and looking even bulkier than he has been in the past, D’Onofrio truly looks like The Kingpin leapt off the pages of Marvel Comics and into live action....

AMC will air the last Walking Dead episode of 2016 with the fall finale Hearts Still Beating on Sunday, December 11 at 9 PM ET on AMC. Following last night’s episode, Sing Me a Song, the network debuted a preview and a new clip from Hearts Still Beating, which offers new footage from this mid-season finale showing how these survivors are spread out in several different locations. We even go back to The Kingdom, where Morgan (Lennie James) is warned about the Saviors, with one member of The Kingdom revealing they are not to be trusted....

The Walking Dead season 8 is nearly upon us. Even though fans wanted to see the result of the frustrating season 6 cliffhanger at the beginning of The Walking Dead season 7 last year, the season overall managed to disappoint many. That doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen this year. Fans can expect a much more action-packed and faster paced run of new episodes. In fact, according to Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron, The Walking Dead season 8 is cut from the same cloth as Die Hard in some ways....

USA Network has released the long-awaited Psych reunion movie online and you can watch it right now for free. No sign-in or any other sort of hoops of the like to jump through. There’s no word on how long they’re going to keep it that way, though....

The Saved by the Bell reboot trailer arrived earlier this week, but Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen were nowhere to be found. Original series stars Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley were featured prominently in the footage. Fans of the original show were left wondering where Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski could be hiding out. As it turns out, Gosselaar has a pretty good explanation as to why he and Thiessen were not shown in the first look at the reboot....

Warner Bros. revealed earlier in the week that The Dark Knight Rises would shoot on location in Los Angeles and the UK, with a third location not yet decided. Fans of Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise have long hoped that the third location would be Chicago, which was utilized to great effect in The Dark Knight, giving Gotham City a very distinct, dark, industrial, and textured look. But that doesn’t seem to be the case, as a local Chicago report indicates The Dark Knight Rises has chosen to shoot in Detroit instead....

So, Scorsese is making a movie, you say? It’s a remake of a Hong Kong flick, really? Is it any good? Damn right it’s good! I don’t know where to begin about this movie other than this is a near perfect piece of contemporary filmmaking. We open with a long running prologue that introduces the main players to us. In fact, this movie has one of the longest prologues I can recall maybe since Fiddler On The Roof....
