There has been no shortage of casting stories for The Expendables 2 recently, with actors such as Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Taylor Lautner and Donnie Yen circling various roles. Today we have news that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis have been confirmed for the sequel. Both actors appeared in cameo roles in The Expendables last year, although they are believed to have “substantial” roles in the sequel. Last year, star Sylvester Stallone revealed on his Twitter account that he wanted Bruce Willis to portray the main villain in The Expendables 2....

Paramount+ has recently released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming series titled, The Offer. The all-new upcoming series is based on the infamously troubled production for The Godfather. The never-revealed experiences will be told through the eyes of Oscar-winning producer Albert S. Ruddy, who will be played by Miles Teller. We have the first trailer for The Haunting of Bly Manor, which is set to arrive this October on Netflix. The show comes from The Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan and producer Trevor Macy. It serves as the next chapter in what is now The Haunting anthology series. In this case, Flanagan is tackling an adaptation of The Turn of the Screw, the iconic novella by Henry James. As we can see, it very much feels like the new season is cut from the same cloth as its predecessor but this is a very different story....

Lionsgate, a leading global entertainment company, today announced the close of principal photography on the highly anticipated film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ runaway bestselling novel The Hunger Games. Lionsgate will release The Hunger Games on March 23, 2012. The film is the first in a series that Lionsgate is making based on the book trilogy that has become a worldwide phenomenon. Filmed entirely in North Carolina, the locations spanned from a dense forest in which the arena that hosts the games themselves was created to a town that stood in for Katniss’ home, District 12, to a sound stage that was the platform for the fantastical sights and sounds of The Capitol, the futuristic capital city of the nation of Panem....

There is more than enough to keep you interested in the season ahead. First off, if you were one of the whiny nay-sayers who despised that the Rosie Larsen case took two whole seasons to solve, then fret not, because it’s already been confirmed that this case will be closed over Season 3’s 12-episode run. This season is set one year after the Rosie Larsen case was closed, with both Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) and Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman) on much different sides of the law....

M. Night Shyamalan’s latest movie The Last Airbender will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on November 16. The movie will be released in three versions. A brand new trailer for The Mandalorian has been revealed by Disney and Lucasfilm. This serves as the first ever live-action TV show set within the Star Wars universe, and it’s been a long time coming. Now, with just a couple of weeks left until the series premiere, the veil has been pulled back and we’ve been treated to a closer look at all of the bounty hunting goodness that awaits Disney+ subscribers and fans of a galaxy far, far away next month....

NBC is moving forward with an updated version of The Munsters from creator Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies), with Bryan Singer directing the pilot. We now have plot details for this genre series, which is being described as “Parenthood told by Anne Rice.” The show is said to be “Eddie Munster’s story,” the werewolf son of Herman and Lily Munster. The opening sequence is from a summer camp, where several boys and girls are attacked by Eddie while in his werewolf form, which forces the family to move into the shoddy mansion in Mockingbird Heights....

The first trailer for The Purge TV series has arrived. This makes for a good year if you’re a fan of the franchise. Not only is the series set to debut its first season this fall, but The First Purge, the fourth movie in the series that will serve as a prequel to the events we’ve seen unfold so far in the trilogy of previously released horror flicks, is set to arrive in theaters July 4....

It’s a little odd that there’s been multiple major projects in the last year all centered around a luxurious island resort that’s not what it seems. The White Lotus, Old, Nine Perfect Strangers, and even Vacation Friends have all focused on various cacophonies and chaos coming from these little pampered paradises, and now there’s The Resort (not to be confused with last year’s horror film The Resort; apparently even titles referring to luxury resorts are being done multiple times)....

FX has released a unique new video that offers a unique tease for the final season of the hit series The Strain. While the video doesn’t feature any actual footage from the show, the video serves as an advertisement for a new organization known as The Partnership, which tries to get citizens to donate blood. According to this mystery character in the viral video, who reveals that her blood type is B-positive, donating blood to The Partnership will “ensure that everyone can live healthy productive lives....

The Good This is one of those movies that reminds us why we need Adam Sandler. The Bad This is a “Totally Awesome Edition”? I originally saw The Wedding Singer in the movies on Valentine’s Day. I thought the film was pretty good but apparently the world fell in love with it without me realizing this. Over time, it seems like the movie has become even more revered which would explain the release of The Wedding Singer - Totally Awesome Edition....

Henry Cavill’s departure from The Witcher was partly instigated by the changes made by the production to the source material according to numerous reports. It is therefore a bit of a shame that the upcoming third season of the Netflix fantasy show will be the one that sticks closest to its source material. The previous seasons of the show deviated from the source material to the point Cavill started working in actual unscripted dialogue that he took from Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels, but this time around it seems that the novel Time of Contempt will provide almost the entire season’s story....

The Good There are a so many extras one can spend many hours learning about the film and putting it in it’s proper historical perspective. The Bad With a set that is so “extra heavy” (especially with external features like “Print Reproductions”) something tells me this disc set will not be seen as very user friendly. Things are organized well but some stuff is hard to find. The Wizard of Oz is one of those movies that I have seen two to three times and as the years go on, I never remember anything about it except for the initial story....

Films are a form of art and their purpose can vary. Whether it be entertainment, education, or evoking emotion, movies have the ability to do all. The most effective way to entertain and educate is to arguably evoke emotion from the audience, and what better way to evoke emotion than displaying family dynamics. From dysfunctional families like that seen in Little Miss Sunshine to the perfect ideal in Little Women (2019), family is a popular topic in cinema because of the multitude of narratives that can be mined....

NBC has ordered a pilot for the American adaptation of the BBC’s popular car show Top Gear. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it will stay true to the original and will be a mix of cars, humor, and celebrities. Casting for the show is currently underway, and will be announced at the upcoming North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The show will be shot at a secret location in Los Angeles that has a racetrack and a hanger....
